Siemens SimoHydintroduces environmental-friendliness and energy efficiency concepts to hydraulic systems

With SimoHyd that offers compatibility with the environmentalist approach of the 21st Century for hydraulic systems, one of the most crucial components of the industries, Siemensredefines the environmental friendliness and energy efficiency concepts in hydraulic systems.

SimoHyd, which offers solutions to the problems of the traditional hydraulic systems that completely annihilate such problems, will be launched at WIN’11 Exhibition to be held in Tüyap Exhibition and CongressCenter at Beylikdüzü between 17 and 20 March 2011 as proof of Siemens’ technological competence.

A registered trademark of Siemens A.Ş. in “Beneficial Product” category of German Patent and Trademark Office, SimoHyd stands out with its structure which combines servo engines with a hydraulic pump. This product thus combines the power of hydraulic with the dynamism of a servo system and helps creation of environmentally-conscious systems with a high control capability, and it renders unnecessary all those compulsory parts which intrinsically resist the operation of the system. SimoHyd saves power by up to 70 percent as it no longer needs the energy required by these equipments, and it also diminishes the amount of hydraulic fluid needs by more than 85 percent.

Environmentally conscious, innovative structure

SimoHyd brings about striking breakthroughs regarding the amount and life of the oil used in hydraulic systems too. Once implemented, the product also prevents the problem of warming-up in the oil as caused by the operation principles of restraining control equipments like direction valve, speed-regulator valve, and pressure-regulator valve. Efficiency of the oil used in conventional systems diminishes in time, while the oil used in solutions including SimoHyd maintains efficiency in subsequent uses, too, as the oil is not heated in these systems. Hence, the same oil can be used for long years as there is no deterioration in its quality. Preference of the type of oil that can dissolve in nature means having a completely recycling hydraulic system.

SimoHyd’s positive contribution to environment and nature are not limited with the residual oil. SimoHyd is in a structure of 4 quadrant closed system, and thus it can reuse the idle energy in the system. Silent operation is anther striking feature of the new product as the sound emanated from the system does not go higher than a human voice.

With a wide range of application from the paper and textile machinery to fire distinguishers and garbage trucks, and from windmills to flight simulators, SimoHyd is candidate to become the shining star of the hydraulic systems.
