All individuals or families who have adopted a Siberian Husky from a rescue group or shelter are eligible to enter.

Entries close at the parade secretary’s office 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 26, 2012. No fax and/or e-mail entries will be permitted. One dog per form. For multiple entries, please duplicate form. Entries cannot be accepted without completed form. There is a $10.00 fee to enter this class.

Hotel Reservations

We have made special arrangements with the:

Super 8 Woodstock; Rtes. 47 and 14 on Davis Rd, Woodstock, IL 60098-4643; Phone:815-337-8808. Dogs allowed in rooms for a fee. We have a block of rooms set aside. You need to make the reservation before October 5, 2012 to get this rate of $54.99 + tax per night. They also have a $10 per pet per night for up to 3 dogs.

Raffle

Since we are not having a banquet, and therefore, no auction, we decided to hold a ticket raffle at the show. If you have any items you would like to donate to the cause, bring them to the show. Thanks in advance for your contribution.

If you are sending an entry via overnight mail, please check the box to waive the signature.

IMPORTANT: TO ALL EXHIBITORS – PLEASE READ CAREFULLY.

In order for us to be able to keep renting this facility, please adhere to these rules. PLEASE DO NOT ARRIVE PRIOR TO 6:30 A.M.

We know that some of your dogs are very exuberant and can’t help but bark. For

those that are not able to prevent your dogs from barking, please park in-between the buildings so our neighbors in homes to the west aren’t disturbed.

Please don’t walk your dogs along the fence on the west side of the drainage area. Walk dogs on the east side of the drainage area and along the south side of the buildings.

Please do not park in parking spots directly in front of the gymnastic club next to the facility.

If we find anyone NOT adhering to these rules they will be asked to leave without a refund of entry fees.

THERE WILL BE NO CHALKING ALLOWED IN THE BUILDING.

UNFORTUNATELY, THERE IS NO CAMPING ALLOWED AT THE SITE.

ENTRIES NOT ON OFFICIAL AKC ENTRY FORMS or photocopies of entry forms without the agreement and rules on the reverse side of the AKC entry form are NOT acceptable.

ENTRY FEES WILL NOT BE REFUNDED in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by the veterinarian or judge, or barred from competition by the action of the Show Committee.

SHOW HOURS: Saturday, 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday, 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Daylight Savings Time.

DOGS NEED NOT BE AT THE SHOW until their scheduled time of judging. Dogs not required for further judging will be excused.

CONSULT THE JUDGING PROGRAM for scheduled time of judging.

JUDGES WILL NOT WAIT for any dog holding up a class. Owners and handlers alone are responsible for having their dogs ready to be shown and at the entrance of the Judging Ring when the Steward calls for the dogs to be brought into the ring.

THE SHOW COMMITTEE will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for, nor assume any liability, in the event of any accident to either dogs or exhibitors participating in the Show.

ALL DOGS PRESENT must be on leash except when being judged or in an exercise ring.

NO CRATES OR EXERCISE PENS allowed at ringside.

NO CHALKING WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE BUILDING.

CELL PHONES/PAGERS are not permitted at ringside. Please be sure all cell phones/pagers are off.

SPACE FOR UN-ENTERED DOGS will not be provided.

ENTRY FORM CHANGES, additions or corrections MUST be received in writing prior to the closing of entries and MUST INCLUDE THE AKC NUMBER OF DOG. Those received by telephone are NOT ACCEPTABLE.

EXHIBITORS ARE REQUIRED to keep the grounds clean and sanitary at all times, and to place refuse in the containers provided.

EXHIBITORS should follow their veterinarians’ recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations (such as proof of rabies vaccination).

SMOKING is not allowed in the Show and Grooming buildings.

VETERAN CLASSES - For dogs and bitches eight (8) years of age or older. The winner of the class is eligible to compete for Best of Breed if undefeated in a Regular Class.

The regular entry fee will be charged in these classes. The particular class you desire to enter MUST be shown on the entry form, including jump height. Note that Rally is a separate event. Regardless of other entries, the first entry of a dog in a Rally class will be charged $28.00. Any additional entries of the same dog in another Rally class will be charged $15.00. Move-ups will be allowed as provided in the AKC Obedience Regulations. The request for a move-up must be in writing and presented to the Show Secretary at least 30 minutes prior to the start of judging.

OBEDIENCE TRIAL

Qualifying Score is required for all prizes

The regular entry fee of $28.00 is applicable to the entry of Obedience dogs. If entered for both Conformation and Obedience classes, entry form must be so marked and the entry fee shall be $15.00 for the Obedience entry as an additional entry.

NON-REGULAR CLASSES (INVOLVING SINGLE DOG ENTRIES)

VETERAN CLASS - The Veteran Class shall be for dogs that have an Obedience Title and are eight (8) or more years old prior to the closing of entries. An entry fee of $28.00 shall be charged if not entered in another class. As an additional entry, the fee is $15.00.
