Theater Overview and Selection

The 8thClean Energy Ministerial (CEM8) and 2nd Mission Innovation Ministerial (MI-2) will feature a new “TED Talks” style event, the Innovation Theater, to showcase new and potentially game-changing clean energy innovations and inspirations from China and around the world. The event will feature innovators, scientists, R&D leaders, and entrepreneurs from leading companies, research laboratories, and other organizations presenting on emerging clean energy topics. More than 350 clean energy professionals, including financial investors and incubators, will be invited to attend the Innovation Theater, along with global and Chinese media.

The acceptance of presenter applications will be based on relative merit and adherence to the following criteria:

· Novelty: Demonstrates an example of innovation that has yet to be widely adopted or diffused.

· Impact: The innovation’s potential for impact and scalability to accelerate global clean energy deployment or low-carbon development.

· Intelligibility: Proposals, even of a complex or technical nature, must articulate their value in easy to understand terms that are comprehensible to lay audiences.

· Completeness of Application: Application includes all required information and provides an accurate and thorough description of the technology to be presented.

Key Dates

31 March 2017 Fully complete application must be received by 21:00 China Standard Time.

10 April 2017 Selection process complete and presenters confirmed and notified.

Remarks

1. Innovation Theatre will charged the speakers and open to audiences for free. The organizer will provide the basic AV equipments to the speakers. Please contact the Chinese Wing Energy Association to get more price package information.

2. The speakers should create the speech by his/her own; the summary of the presentation in the application will be used for the promotion materials of the events.
