Illegal Lineage 2 server shut down by the FBI
Early last week a news story was released that NC-Soft, a massively multiplayer game creator with games such as City of Heroes, Guild Wars, and the Lineage series had a press release stating that the FBI had arrested a group of gamers who had made an illegal server and was giving away free copies of the Lineage 2 game to gamers through there website L2extereme.com. NC Soft stated that the server allowed for illegal play in the Lineage world through stolen sorce code and bandwidth from NCSoft which came up to a million dollars in bandwith. The raid shut down 50,000 illegal users with NC Soft not commenting on if they plan to sue the website and server creators.
Problems with Xbox 360 movie downloads
Major Nelson was apologizing this week as the new Xbox 360 movie download service saw more interest than Microsoft expected as some gamers received errors and deduction of points without the download of a single movie or tv show. Major Nelson commented that Microsoft is working on the problem and will be giving refunds when appropriate.
Problems come in Second Life economy
Second Life has had a lot of problems within the last few weeks. The Linden Labs game has announced on its blog of an item that can copy any in-game item called Copybot. The word shook Second Life gamers as some of the gamers make real money off the creation of in-game clothing and objects. Many have now been critical on how Second Life is dealing with the situation as another problem dealing with multiple ringshas occurred in the game. The rings look and sound like the Sonic the Hedgehog rings and would multiply when touched. Linden Labs has now patched the ring problem after a few hours of maintenance.
Video game canceled due to bad press
Rule of the Rose came out in Japan and US with little fanfare or interest to the public until its initial release of the game in Europe. The game has a young girl and her dog trying to navigate through an eerie orphanage. The big news behind the game came when the mayor of Rome announced that the game contained “obscene cruelty and brutality.” Many have commented on the incorrect items in the mayors statement but all the talk has forced the creators of the game 505 Games to cancel the games release in Europe.

Final Question
Well, getting a system seems to be even hard for those who have money and fame. A recent article has the story of a NBA point guard for the Washington Wizards crying on his blog about not being able to get a Wii or PS3 though he waited for zero hours for the systems and trying his fame to get it. Though he may be joking, my question for you this week, Who is this NBA player who can’t get a system. Who is Gilbert Arenas
