The following are the terms and pricing for purchasing DNC system

Scope of work – CTPL

The scope of work contracted to CTPL will be as follows:

1.  Install NCnet software modules on the PC.

2.  Establish 2 way program transfer between the machines and the PC

3.  Demonstrate prime functions of NCnet

4.  Train NCnet Administrators on all functions

5.  Document connectivity information

6.  Prepare installation completion report

The following will NOT be in CTPL’ scope of work:

1.  Training and support pertaining to viruses, PC problems, WINDOWS, databases

2.  Training and support to PC peripherals, CNC, power supply units and cables.

3.  Providing backups of software, database configurations and machine manuals

4.  Mounting or placing WiFi devices and Access points

5.  Rectifying bad RS232C ports on CNC systems

6.  LAN cabling, power cabling and placing Access Points and sundry civil works

7.  Training machine operators on any aspect of NCnet

8.  Configuring or populating databases in NCnet

Scope of work – CUSTOMER

CUSTOMER must provide the following items onsite for successful installation of NCnet.

1.  Dedicated PC for DNC software with Windows XP professional

2.  LAN connectivity between the DNC PC and WiFi /LAN switches

3.  DNC hardware must be procured as per the specifications provided by CADEM

4.  230V clean UPS power for DNC PC and optical Isolators

5.  Use of optical isolators is recommended for safety.

6.  Good electrical earthing is a MUST for all CNC machines

7.  Mounting WiFi / LAN devices on the machines

8.  Placing of WiFi Access points/ LAN switches in the shop floor

9.  RJ 45 LAN ports to plug in Access Points to the LAN in the shop floor

10.  CNC machines with working RS-232-C ports for DNC

11.  DRIP FEED DNC is possible only if the CNC has the this feature enabled

12.  Data cables between the CNC and the WiFi / LAN switches devices

13.  Machine must be made available for at least 4 hours for establishing DNC

14.  Provide an competent engineer for co-ordinating during installation

Terms and conditions for NCnet DNC

Warranty

Warranty on all physical items supplied by CADEM is 12 months from the date of dispatch. CADEM warrants to the original licensee that the physical media – CD / DVD on which the software is recorded and the USB hardware port lock to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service during the warranty period. Defective items will be repaired or replaced free of cost at our office in Bangalore. All shipping charges involved are payable by the user. Warranty does not cover the following:

Support pertaining to viruses, PC and operating system (Windows-XP etc.) problems

Repairs due to accidents and misuse of equipment

Providing engineering services to program specific parts and operations

Onsite visits for support, re-installation and re-training of the product.

Repairs and parameter configuration of serial ports on CNC

Power supply units, optical isolators, EMI filters and cables.

Providing software back-ups

Policy on updates

Maintenance updates that comprise rectification of bugs will be made available as and when released. User will be notified when a maintenance update is released for downloading. Updates will be released only for the current version of the software – ver.7.0. Users using older versions must upgrade to the current version before updating. Updates are free.

Policy on upgrades

Upgrade is a new version that comprises extensive engineering and software development work to provide significant feature enhancements to the product. It is accompanied with new add-on feature modules and new documentation. Upgrades are normally released once in 12 ~ 18 months. Upgrades are chargeable.

Policy on technical support

Requesting technical support

Technical support is available for the current version (v 7.0) and one previous version of the software. Users must login tech support requests at www.cadem.com/helpdesk. Helpdesk will enable the user to seek support and track the progress of their requests. Technical support services are available from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday through Friday excluding public holidays. All tech support will be provided online via email, phone or the Internet; no onsite visits will be made.

Online technical support

Most problems can be resolved by remote support through email, phone and remote support Internet tools like Teamviewer. For receiving support though the Internet Teamviewer freeware download your copy from www.teamviewer.com , user must have internet connection on the PC where the application is installed.

Onsite technical support

If the technical support issue requires an onsite visit to resolve it, then Cadem engineers can visit the user’s factory at pre-arranged date. Charges for onsite technical support are shown below. The charges include boarding, lodging and local travel. These rates are non negotiable. Since, air fares are unpredictable, rates applicable at the time of travel will be applied.

Policy on software modifications

NCnet is a packaged software product. These software are licensed to buyer as-is basis. Cadem reserves the right to makes changes in the design specification with out notice. Software is an integrated system, and a seemingly minor change in one area has a trickle down effect on many other parts of the system. Customizations/modifications call for development time, require additional testing time, and increase support costs. Therefore, Cadem does not assure to add, modify or delete any feature however minor or relevant it may be. Constructive suggestions and user feedback are welcome. Cadem makes no guarantees on incorporating user suggestions.

Media

All software will be provided on Compact Discs. Only one printed tutorials / user manuals will be provided.

Software protection against piracy

CADEM software products are protected against piracy by a USB hardware port lock. If the lock is LOST then software is also LOST. Fresh license of the software must be bought from us at its current price. No free replacements will be made for lost or stolen port locks. In case the lock is damaged, it must be returned to us and will be replaced at cost.

Limitation of Liability

In no event shall CADEM or anyone else who has been involved in creation, production or delivery of this software be liable for any direct, indirect, consequential or incidental damages / loss arising out of the use, the results of use, or inability to use the software and its documentation.
