LIABILITY RELEASE; I/we the above signed, do hereby release any and all members, agents, workers, helpers, sponsors and officials connected with the SHOOTOUT TOURNAMENT SERIES of any and all responsibility for any damage or injury to person or property resulting directly or indirectly by participation in any and all events now and in the future. Both partners acknowledge receipt of the rules and agree to abide by them.

2017TOURNAMENT RULES

  1. ALL STATE AND FEDERAL LAWS APPLY.
  2. Every boat must have all required Coast Guard safety equipment.
  3. Each boat must have a working kill switch.
  4. All boats must have a mechanically aerated live well.
  5. All competitors are required to wear a life vest when the boats gasoline engine is in gear.
  6. DRUGS & ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES are not allowed in any boat.
  7. A minimum of $100,000 liability insurance is required.
  8. All contestants must have a valid fishing license for each state waters fished.
  9. Protests must be brought to the attention of the tournament Directors (committee), before the official weigh-in begins. The tournament Director’s decision will be final.
  10. Only artificial lures may be used. No live or prepared bait allowed.
  11. Only one fishing rod per angler allowed at one time. No trolling allowed.
  12. Fishing permitted on tournament waters only
  13. A limit of 5 bass per team minimum length 12”.
  14. Culling fish must be done prior to the end of the tournament. (Cannot be done at ramp)
  15. More than 5 fish presented at weigh-in will result in loss of team’s biggest fish in their bag down to 4 fish.
  16. Any short fish turned in at weigh-in will not count & a8OZ PENALTY will be assessed for each short fish.
  17. A 8OZ PENALTY will be assessed for each dead fish.
  18. A dead fish cannot be weighed for lunker..
  19. All teams must have their boat # in by the appointed time, or a 1 lb PENALTY will be assessed for each minute late, to include lunker. More than 15 minutes late will disqualify that team.
  20. Boats will be called to the scale by boat #. Boats must remain in the water until team weighs in.
  21. Tournament winners will be determined by the total pounds & ounces of each teams catch.
  22. A tie for 1st place will be determined by the team’s heaviest fish, all other ties will stand & the monies will be combined and paid out equally.
  23. Launch position will be determined by random draw at each event. TOC launch will be by up to date point standings day 1 and Tournament position day 2.
  24. Infringement of these rules shall be considered cause for disqualification.
  25. We reserve the right to refuse entry to any applicant.
  26. Points will be 200 for first place 198 for 2nd 196 for 3rd and so on. There will be 1 extra point given for a limit and 2 points given for each lunker.
  27. The 2 day final will count toward year end points. This event will be worth 1.5 times points. 1st 300, 2nd 297, 3rd 294 etc…
  28. Payouts will be as follows, 1-5 boats 1 place, 6-10 boats 2 places, 11-15 boats 3 places, 16-20 boats 4 places, etc...
  29. To fish the TOC teams will have to pay the complete cost of the event, $180.00 and have fished 4 of the 6 events and fish with the same partner at least 3 events. Teams that fish all 6 events will be qualified automatically. ($30.00 from each entry goes toward TOC and year end awards)
  30. Only 5 events plus the 2 day final will be counted toward AOY awards. (teams that fish all 6 tournaments will drop their worst finish)
  31. Teams will be allowed ONE substitute and also be allowed to fish alone ONCE.
  32. This is a 100% PAYBACK trail, with monies from every event going toward the Finals.
