SHOOTING AT PAPPLEWICK

Papplewick offers a variety of shooting disciplines as a ‘Paid Activity’

AIR RIFLE - Training in air rifle shooting begins with an 8 week Youth Proficiency Course under the auspices of the National Small Bore Rifle Association. After this, boys compete on an individual and team basis in a variety of competitions: inter-school and ‘Open’ events. All training takes place at Bisley Camp, the National Shooting Centre for Great Britain, and given by a qualified coach.

Air Rifle shooting is suitable for boys in Years 6-8. The cost is approximately £7 per week. Air rifle shooting takes place in the evenings so it does not conflict with other ‘Paid Activities’.

CLAY PIGEON SHOOTING

All shooting takes place at the A1 Shooting Ground in Barnet where groups of 4 or 5 boys are taught by qualified coaches.

Clay Pigeon Shooting is most suitable for boys in Years 7-8.

The cost is approximately £40 per session. Clay Pigeon shooting takes place on a Thursday afternoon during ‘Paid Activity’

Time and therefore does clash with other paid activities.

To conform to shooting and safety regulations, you must give written permission before a boy may shoot. To do this please complete the section below and return to:
