Congratulations to Cindy Saul on the birth of her new granddaughter, Isabella.
Counselors met with all sophomores during the week of November 9th to present a Career Exploration lesson. Students were given the opportunity to take a Career Interest Profiler assessment, which suggested career and college choices aligned with their interests and strengths. The Career Profiler assessment identified students as one of the six different career-personalities on the RIASEC scale, modeled after the Holland Code personality types. Students also became more familiar with the Family Connections program by logging in to their personal PC account and researching careers and colleges aligned with their Holland Codes. The Counseling Department greatly appreciates the English and ESOL Departments allowing them to use their instructional time for their curricular lesson on Career Development.
Congratulations to Colin Loiacono for leading the Boy’s Cross Country team to 14th place out of 25 teams in the State Championship. Colin’s time for the 5th hardest 3-mile Cross Country course in the country was 17:19:00. Congratulations also to Amanda Hayes-Puttfarcken and Maddie Peloff who placed 12th and 24th to lead their team to the best Girl’s team finish in more than 15 years.
Congratulations also goes to Joseph Santini who was recognized as the Scholar of the Quarter in HVAC at Thomas Edison.
