Introduction:
- Call to Order
The Meeting was called to order at 8:00 AM by Ms. Barber, the SAC Chairperson.
- Welcome
Ms. Barber thanked the parents and other stakeholders for attending the SAC Meeting.
- Principal’s Report
Ms. Grant wished all the parents “Happy Holidays” and informed them about the instructional approaches being used in the classroom to ensure that our students are learning.
Ms. Grant Talked about the steps being taken to engage the community, the parents and our business partners using our Community Liaison (Ms. Fitzpatrick).
She also reminded the parents about the steps being taken on Campus to reward the students who are caught doing the right thing through our upcoming VIP Event on 12/22/2017.
She attended the School Advisory Forum Training session at Stranahan High School and she thanked the parents that were there as well and encouraged them to keep going to all the SAF trainings.
IV. Desired Outcomes:
- SAC Minutes Approval
The SAC Minutes were reviewed and approved!
- SIP Update- ( Literacy Coach)
Our Literacy Coach, Ms. Oatts informed the parents about the Success Academy Saturdays and how we are implementing all these initiatives to increase student achievement. Each Success Academy session focuses on a core subject: ELA, MATH, SCIENCE and SOCIAL STUDIES. We have scheduled 6 Saturday Sessions in addition to the support being rendered in the classroom.
- TITLE 1- Updates
Dr. Taylor provided the Title-1 updates to the parent and informed them about the upcoming Title-1 Parent Training or Workshops.

The Meeting adjourned at 9:15 AM… The parents were invited to attend the scheduled SAC Meeting for the month of January.
