NATHAN6 COLE

1779. Nathan Cole was born in MA (1850 Census).

1812. During the war of 1812 they lived near a blockhouse to which the children were taken whenever there was a rumor the British were coming.

1850. Census of LeRay Town/Twp of Jefferson Co NY indicates: Nathan Cole age 72, farmer, $2,500 real estate owned, born MA; Polly Cole age 69, born in MA (p128/d343/f349); Chauncey Cole age 37, born in NY; Esther Cole age 35, born in NY; Elimira Cole age 17, born in NY; Sanford Cole age 15, born in NY; Serena Cole age 13, born in NY; Pembroke Cole age 8, born in NY; Raselus [Rassealus] age 7, born in NY; James Oscar Cole age 5, born in NY; June Cole age 4, born in NY; Leona B Cole age 11/12, born in NY (p128/d343/f350). Chauncey is Nathan's son and Esther is Chauncey's wife. Sanford, James Oscar & June are probably Chauncey & Esther's children, but are not confirmed by a second source as the other children are.

Also on the above 1880 map, in sections 4,5 & 8 in Young America Twp in Carver Co MN is a Nathaniel Cole family (relationship unknown), this is 2 miles W and 1 mile N of Norwood MN.
