Description / In this introductory gaming course, students will have hands-on experience creating and modifying their own 2D and 3D video games. Using their creativity and problem solving skills, students will learn to design, create, test and debug video games. Students will also explore game genres, history, elements and game creation for the web.
Primary
Objectives / ·  The learner will demonstrate features of a game development program.
·  The learner will construct a simple shooter game with movements collisions and sounds.
·  The learner will identify steps in the game development process.
·  The learner will explain the game development system life cycle.
·  The learner will compose games using logical conditions and events
·  The learner will identify features of enjoyable game play.
·  The learner will identify input and output requirements
·  The learner will construct a unique 2D game utilizing the game system development life cycle
·  The learner will complete a game design document outlining technology requirements, rules, characters, scenes, storyboards, sounds, game play, timeline and milestones for completing the game project.
·  The learner will construct a 3D game level or room.
·  The student will generate a simple game script.
