Office Announcements

Snow make up days are as follows: January 12th will be made up on Monday, February 19th and the January 16th snow day will be made up on Monday, April 2.

We encourage our students to attend a church service on the weekend. Please know you are always invited to Prince of Peace Parish. Mass times are Saturday, 6pm and Sunday, 8am and 10am. Prince of Peace is located at 413 E Second Street in downtown Madison.

Catholic Schools Week begins this Saturday with Mass! All are invited to attend one of the Masses this weekend at Prince of Peace Catholic Church: Saturday at 6pm, Sunday at 8am or 10am. Please see that attached flier for several events taking place at our POP Schools this next week! Catholic Schools Rock!

Qualify for an Education Expense Deduction – If you have a dependent child enrolled in K-12 private school, you may qualify for a deduction based on education expenditures for that child. Expenditures include tuition, fees, textbooks, and school supplies. If you are eligible, this deduction is $1,000 per qualified dependent. Details can be found at

Tapatios has been generous enough to donate a portion of the day’s sales to our Junior class on upcoming alternating Tuesdays. Please mark your calendars & help out the Class of 2019 by eating at Tapatios (see the dates below)

Guidance Department Announcements

●Congratulations to our Honor Roll students for the Quarter 2 grading period. All Honor Roll students were treated to ice cream on Tuesday. High Honor Roll students may dress down Feb. 8th. See attachment to view Honor Roll.

●Students interested in a career with horses--Meredith Manor International Equestrian Centre (West Virginia) invites you to their Open House on May 19th.

●Ball State School of Art invites juniors & seniors to their Open House & Portfolio Review on Feb. 10th. Art Scholarships available. Register before Feb. 7th at

●High School students may enter the Sons of the American Revolution Joseph S. Rumbaugh Historical Orations Contest. State level contest is April 21st. $1,000 award to 1st place. Oration must be 5-6 minute original work on an event, personality or document of the Revolutionary War era and its relevance to America today. Oration manuscript due March 1st. See Mrs. Miller if interested.

●Juniors are encouraged to become familiar with how to prepare for the SAT. Go to Create a College Board account & utilize the free practice with Khan Academy. Register to take the SAT or ACT at least once before senior year. Register at or Students who receive free/reduced lunch or 21st C Scholars see Mrs. Miller for a fee waiver.
