This is an opportunity to share and record your triumphs, challenges and experiences. Everyone’s stories are unique and beautiful, so we want to honor and hear all about yours. Julia, Sandel’s Social Work Intern, will be available in the dining room throughout the month to assist you with this project which will be compiled into a “storybook”.

CENTER STAGE LUNCHEON & PERFORMANCE: Wednesday, 12/6 @ 12 noon. The members of the Center Stage Chorus start the holiday season with a wonderful holiday concert and a scrumptious lunch. $5.00pp. $7.00 charged day of event.

SUNDAY FUNDAY: Sunday, 12/17 from 3:00pm-7:00pm. Gingerbread House Decorating Party. Peppermints, frosting and gumdrops galore!. Dinner included. $10.00pp.

INTERGENERATIONAL HOLIDAY PARTY: Tuesday, 12/12 @ 12 noon. Sandel members and South Side High School students get together for a wonderful holiday event complete with entertainment, refreshments and time for sharing. No sign-up necessary.

MIDDLE SCHOOL PERFORMANCE: Friday, 12/15 @ 12 noon. The South Side Middle School will perform at the Sandel Center. Brunch will be available for purchase at 11:00am. These young people will really entertain you. No sign-up necessary.

HOLIDAY PARTY AT POMPEII: Wednesday, 12/20 @ 12 noon. Spend the afternoon celebrating the season with dancing, delicious food, great music by Steve Cassano and lots of holiday cheer with your Sandel friends. Members $40.00pp. Non-members $44.00pp. Table request forms will be available in the front office beginning 12/1. Please make sure that everyone seated at your table has signed-up. Forms must be submitted by Wednesday, 12/13.

SANDEL SUPPER CLUB’S “NOVEMBERFEST”: Wednesday, 11/1. @ 4:00pm. A fall-inspired dinner dance with some real home cooking and music by Al Zimmerman. Bring your own refreshments to share. PIE MAKING: Thursday, 11/16 @ 10:00am. Join Nancy in the kitchen to make blueberry and apple crumb pies to be sold at the Craft Fair. Self sign-up at front desk necessary.

CRAFT FAIR: Friday, 11/17, 10:00am-4:00pm. The seniors have been working hard all year on beautiful crafts and knitted and crocheted items to sell. We also have homemde pies and jams, jarred tomatoes and creative gifts along with several outside vendors. And don’t be surprised if Santa & Mrs. Claus show up!!.

THANKSGIVING LUNCHEON: Monday, 11/20 @ 12 noon. Sandel members will gather with friends for a traditional Thanksgiving lunch. $5.00pp ($7.00 charged day of event).

THE GALLERY SHOPPING & LUNCH: Tuesday, 11/28. Take a ride over to the Gallery Mall in Westbury for some holiday shopping. Lots of outlet stores and speciality shops. Lunch on your own at Shake Shack or many other eateries. $2.00 transportation fee. Limit 20. Minimum of 10 necessary by 11/23.
