Description of activity: / The students watch a motivational film called Úraz není náhoda (Injury is No Coincidence) and analyse it.
The students split into pairs, receive cards. They are asked to arrange the cards in the correct order and justify their opinions on specific examples of injuries.

Own reflections: / The students realised they can easily get into emergency situations where it is necessary to stay calm and address them with deliberation. They cannot help the injured person unless they have sufficient knowledge and skills. There are serious consequences of such behaviour!

Basic urgent resuscitation

1. / Evaluate consciousness – address the injured person, shake their shoulders, …
2. / Position – the injured person must lie on the back
3. / Breathing – open and clear the airways by tilting the head back; breathes × does not breathe?

Burns (from fire/acid)

1. / Ensure your own safety
2. / Remove clothing – not by force
3. / Immediately cool by cold water (while keeping the person warm)
4. / Remove necklaces, bracelets and rings

7. / Anti-shock measures – communicate with the affected person, calm them down, etc.Do not administer drinks and food!

Electrical accident

4. / Ensure vital functions – consciousness, breathing, etc.
5. / If breathing has stopped, provide for immediate resuscitation
6. / Provide sterile bandage of burns

Epileptic seizure

1. / Remove any objects within the reach of the person
2. / Protect the person’s head by placing your hands under the person’s head
