I-Meeting was called to order by Amy at 8:33 a.m.

II- Presenter Annette Hall from Great Body Shop outlined how her curriculum meet Coordinated Health requirements for districts as well as discussed the benefits to using their comprehensive curriculum resource. She will provided samples of booklets that would come with the purchase of the program. She highlighted the cross curricular calendar that could be utilized by administrators to schedule what health education would be provided throughout the calendar year

III-Amy provided minutes from the November 2, 2016 SHAC Meeting

David Waters moved to accept the minutes as presented and Misti Atkinson seconded the motion. Minutes approved

IV-Old Business- None

V- Sub Committee Reports

·  Family Healthy Living Expo Night - Doug requested that a sub-committee meet to discuss the detail and plans for this event held on April 18, 2017 5:30-7:00pm. At Llano Elementary. This event would be replacing last year’s Health Fair in Conjunction with Color Run, which has been replaced as a Field Day at Llano Elementary.

VI-New Business

A.  Sub Committee –

·  Health Coordinated Steering Committee :appointed by Doug Debord

Members: Doug Debord, Maela Edmondson, Misti Atkinson and Kim Slaughter

This committee will evaluate the programs presented at SHAC meetings (SPARK

November 2, 2016 and Great Body Shop February 1, 2017) and recommend purchase of a program to facilitate LISD Coordinated Health Program Curriculum

B.  Jennifer Page Texas Agri-Life presented information to Doug Debord regarding LCRA and Master Gardener Club to help facilitate a Spring Garden and Campus Beautification at Llano Elementary.

VII- Items to be placed on next SHAC Meeting May 3, 2017

·  Evaluate Llano ISD Local Wellness Policy – If needed request changes to the School Board

·  Plan 2017-2018 SHAC Meeting Dates and Time

·  Nominate Names for Officers for the 2017-2018 School year

VII- Cheryl Burse motioned for the meeting to adjourn and Misti Atikinson second the meeting was adjourned at 10:00am
