Cutting

Choosing strips

Choose 10 of the 2-1/2” strips for the bag body and Label

Choose 7 of the strips for the bag gusset and Label

Choose two of the strips for the Handles and Label

Choose one of the strips for the accent in the handle and Label

Choose one of the strips for the inside pocket accent and label

Choose one of the strips for the zipper casing and Label 14” zipper

Outside of the bag

Cut the 10 strips for the outside of bag to 25” and Label

Gusset

From one gusset strip cut two pieces 2-1/2” x 7” and Label

From the second gusset strip cut two pieces 2-1/2” x 6-1/2” and label

From the third gusset strip cut two pieces 2-1/2” x 6” and label

From the fourth gusset strip cut two pieces 2-1/2” x 5-1/2” and label

From the fifth gusset strip cut two pieces 2-1/2” x 5” and label

From the sixth gusset strip cut two pieces 2-1/2” x 4” and label

From the seventh gusset strip cut 2 pieces 2-1/2” x 3” and label

Inside pockets

From the lining fabric cut 1 strip 5-1/2” by width of fabric then

Cut 4 pieces 5-1/2” x 6-1/2” and label

From the strip pick for the pocket accent cut 2 pieces 2-1/2” x 6-1/2”

Handles

Cut the two strips pick for the handles 2-1/2” x 27”,

NOTE this is the time to adjust the length of the handles to your preference (shorter or longer)

If you do adjust the handle length DOESN’T FORGET TO ADJUST THE HANDLE ACCENTS, INTERFACING, AND FLEECE TO THAT LENGTH.

Cut then handle accent strip in half to two strips 1-1/4” x 27”

Featherweight Interfacing

Cut four pieces 5-1/2” x 6-1/2” and label for inside pockets

Cut two pieces 2-1/2” x 6-1/2’ and label for inside pocket accents

Cut four pieces 2-1/2” x 17’ for top zipper casing and label

Set aside the rest for bags lining pieces

Lightweight Fusible Fleece

Cut 2 pieces 1-1/4” x 27” for handle accent strips and label;

Set aside the rest for outside of bag pieces and guest

Décor Bond Interfacing

Cut two strips 2-1/2” x 27” for handles and label

Cut two strips 1-1/4” x 27” for handles accent and label

Top Zipper 14” casing

From the strip pick for the 14” zipper casing cut the following and label

Cut two strips 2-1/2” x 17” zipper casing

Cut 2 squares 2-1/2” x 2-1/2” zipper tabs

Top Zipper 14” Zipper Lining

From the Lining fabric cut a 2-1/2’ strip by width of fabric and then cut the following and label

Cut two pieces 2-1/2” x 17”

24” Zipper Tabs

From your leftover strips pick one closest to the 24” zipper color and cut two squares 2-1/2” x 2-1/2” and label
