Seuss-abrate at your Public Library!

Celebrate Dr. Seuss’ 108th birthday and the release of “The Lorax” on March 2.

Hey Dr. Seuss fans! Friday, March 2, marks the 108th anniversary of Dr Seuss’ birthday and the day NBC/Universal’s “The Lorax” hits theatres. To celebrate, the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County invites children and families to check out our line-up of Dr. Seuss-themed events as well as our collection of his stories. In the words of the immortal Dr. Seuss, “Be awesome. Be a book nut!”

Our collection offers quite the selection of Dr. Seuss’ stories for young girls and boys.

The Library’s collection includes copies of classics such as The Lorax,
The Cat in the Hat, Green Eggs and Ham, Horton Hatches the Egg, and more. Some are even published in other languages (including Chinese, French, German, Italian, Latin, Polish, Russian, and Spanish), and others come as board books and pop-ups. Your Library also has many books about the life and work of Theodor Seuss Geisel, otherwise known as Dr. Seuss. Movie versions of Dr. Seuss’ stories are available on DVDs, and you can listen to books on CDs. Check them out at your local Library today!

PHOTO CAPTION: The fun of Dr. Seuss popped right off of the page for Flora and Hayden Franek. They checked out a pop-up version of The Lorax from the Library to read at their grandma’s house in Wyoming.
