Setting upCorporatee-mail on an iPhone/iPad
Before you begin, you need:
- Your username and password. Your username is your email address, () The password is the one you changed using the first step found on
- The name of the Exchange server: (outlook.office365.com)
Note: This document was created using iOS 5.1. It may be used with other versions of the operating system, but some screens may appear differently or may not appear at all. The information on page 6 should remain unchanged.
To begin from your iphone
- Select Settings
- Select Mail
- Select Accounts
- Select Add Account…
- Select Exchange
- Enter your Kingston Fire Company Email and the password you changed earlier, and leave the description as is then tap Next. If you get prompted with an error "Exchange Account, Unable to verify account information" continue and click save.
- Enter your information below at the next screen replacing name with your actual first name and last name.
- The screen should look as shown in the next picture, then click “Next”…
The device will verify your information again. If there are no errors, move on to the “Replication Selection”.
If the device reports any errors, recheck the server name you entered. If that doesn’t resolve the issue, click OK to get past the message. Another screen may appear informing you that you may not be able to send or receive emails. Click Save to get past this screen.
Replication Selection
- In the next screen you can choose what to replicate:
If you choose to replicate your contacts, you will see the following screen; you want to keep your contacts that you already have, so select “Keep on My iPhone”…
You will be warned about the possibility of duplicate entries; select “Keep on My iPhone”…
- Click “Save” and the account will be added to the device…
At this point you should check that you are now receiving email:
- Return to the main screen and go into Mail
You should begin receiving emails within a few minutes, but it could take a while before all of your mail is sent to your device. Once you start receiving emails, the installation is complete.
