Dear Health Plan,
Below is information regarding your new account with the MPA SFTP site. I have provided your username and password in the second paragraph of the set-up process in the free CoreFTP software below (if you use another FTP product, please use the information provided in your set-up process) . It is best to copy and paste the password into the software to prevent an error by mistyping it. The current password will be valid until December 31, 2013. You will be provided with a password update before that date.
Setting up client access for a new FTP site in CoreFTP
1. Download and install CoreFTP LE from the following URL:
http://www.coreftp.com/download/coreftplite.exe
Install with all default settings.
2. Select “New Site” at the “Site Manager” prompt, and fill out the details as follows (see picture):
- Site Name: MPA SFTP or anything you like. This is only for your own reference
- Host / IP / URL: 168.82.75.30
- Username: [your assigned username]
- Password: [your assigned password]
- Port: 2221
- Timeout: Default (60)
- Retries: set to 0 (zero) to prevent automatic lock-out when 3 attempts are made with an incorrect password
- Connection: SSH/SFTP
3. Select “Connect”
The panel on the left represents your local machine. The panel on the right represents the FTP site.
Inside each user root folder are three additional folders, named: frommedsteam, MPA, and tomedsteam.
The MPA folder is for all MPA data interchange. The tomedsteam and frommedsteam folders are used for all MEDS Team data interchange.
Data is exchanged by selecting the desired file (from the right panel to retrieve from MPA, or from the left panel to upload a file to MPA) and clicking on the appropriate arrow immediately above the file list panel.
Please contact me if you have any questions.
