Infolect
Decommissioning of Broadcast Data Groups (BDGs)
The purpose of this service announcement is to remind you of the date that the Exchange will cease to disseminate Broadcast Data Groups on Infolect, which will be from Monday 22 May 2006. All customers are strongly advised to migrate well in advance of this date to ensure that they continue to successfully receive real-time market data from Infolect and the new data delivery structure, Service Channels.
Service Channels offer a simplified data delivery structure, designed to reduce the number of groups that customers need to subscribe to in order to receive London Stock Exchange data.
Service Channel Testing and Migration
To ensure all customers have completed the necessary mandatory testing for Service Channels, in line with the Exchange’s standard accreditation policy, we recommend that customers book any outstanding tests as soon as possible. This will allow customers to prioritise their migration to Service Channels and ensure that they are adequately prepared for this change.
To support the move to Service Channels the Exchange is offering a number of different migration options, which are summarised in the document ‘Introduction to Infolect - Service Channel Migration Options’.
Migration weekends have been scheduled for Saturday 18 February and Saturday 11 March. When migrating to Service Channels the migration weekends offer the lowest risk option, as further support is provided and there is a greater window of opportunity to resolve any issues experienced. The Exchange is expecting a high demand for these weekends and is recommending that customers book well in advance through their Technical Account Manager.
