SENIORS:

Senior Portfolios are due! During the week of May 9th Portfolio Workshops will be held to review your documents and celebrate your achievements for your high school career. Be sure to have your documents available until you have received your final clearance form and your portfolio cover. Be sure to hashtag #WPHStoCollege2016 and #LAUSDestination2020 with your colleges on portfolio day.

Prom Tickets are on sale in the Student Store. Guest contracts will be available on 4/20. Remember, attendance must be cleared and you must have a 2.0 gpa on the 15-week progress report to attend. Seniors not meeting the eligibility requirement may complete an appeal form. Appeals will be conducted during the week of May 23, 2016.

The “Prep Factor”: is coming in May 21, 2016 with a “Special” guest and many performers. Tickets will go on sale next week! See the Leadership Talent Show committee members for more details.

Board District 1 Advisory Board Meeting: Students interested in participating in the Board District 1 Advisory Board for 2016-17 school year see Ms. Byrd. Represent Washington Prep with concerns regarding our school area that can be addressed by the School Board Member, Dr. McKenna.

Cell Phone & Electronic Devices Policy: Cell phones and other electronic devices should be used for instructional purposes during school hours. Washington Preparatory High School is not responsible for any lost or stolen item.

Aggressive Campus Sweeps: Thank you for arriving at your classes on time. All students must have the appropriate Hall Pass for being out of class. Without the proper pass, students will be taken to B19 for processing.

Monthly Attendance: Let’s keep doing a great job by getting the Attendance submitted daily. There is an incentive for our school to raise our Attendance to 96% attendance for the month. Schedule appointments on non-school or meeting dates and times when applicable. Be sure to contact SubFinder and the Main Office (x4052) if you will be absent.

BIC: Collect your BIC carts within the first 15 minutes of class and return accurate rosters to the. Thank you! All adults must purchase lunches from the cafeteria in the Teacher’s Lounge.

Maintenance and Safety Hazard: Requests are available in the Main Office. Please report any and every potential safety hazards immediately.

Professional Development: Department meetings on Tuesday – EPI Pen training and ILT meeting on Wednesday after school.

UCLA with CORE Waiver Funds is supporting the Math Department with coaching from Ms. Karen for two more sessions

Master Schedule Module II on Tuesday, May 10, 2016, will meet in the TBA at 3:15 p.m.

LSLC Meeting: On Monday, May 16, 2016, will meet in the Family Room at 3:30 p.m. Be sure to turn in your budget request for 2015-16.
