Seminar English 2-Final Reflective Project

This final project will give you an opportunity to look back on your freshman year of high school and consider your academic, extra-curricular and personal accomplishments. The project will be a combination of written and visual reflections and will be shared with the class on finals day.

Address the areas listed below in your reflective project:

Older and Wiser: Things You Learned this Year-discuss in-depth things you have learned from each area below:

You must address each of the areas listed in the project guidelines, and your project should include written and visual components. Analysis, synthesis and evaluation are built into this project; however, the form you decide to use to convey your reflections is up to you. Some ideas include:

-decorated pages in the form of a journal with written and visual components that respond to each of the areas in the guidelines;

-a large collage of words and images that clearly addresses each of the areas in the guidelines;

-a scrapbook with writing and images to focus on each of the areas in the guidelines;

-a written reflective essay that discussed each of the areas in the guidelines with an accompanying visual (collage, original art, slide show, original computer graphic) that complements written reflections;

-a Prezi or PowerPoint presentation that addresses each of the areas in the guidelines and includes visuals;

-a narrative poem (open or closed form) that addresses each of the areas in the guidelines with an accompanying visual (collage, original art, slide show, original computer graphic) that complements written reflections;

-a series of epistles (letters) to yourself (possibly past, present, future) with accompanying visuals(collage, original art, slide show, original computer graphic) that complements written reflections;

-an original musical composition (performed live or recorded) or a musical montage to accompany a written product (essay, poem, epistles);

-an original film that addresses each of the areas of the guidelines;

-a computer graphic that either accompanies a written product or addresses each of the areas in the guidelines and includes visuals;
