ADMINISTRATIVE ARRANGEMENTS

1.OBJECTIVE OF THE EVENT

The seminar is organised by the CzechRepublic in partnership with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and in collaboration with the NATO Political Affairs and Security Policy (PASP) Division. It will address the cultural awareness and public perceptions-related lessons learned and best practices from NATO-led operations, identify specific capabilities that individual Allies and Partners have at their disposal and seek to initiate the discussion in the Alliance regarding the development of a standardised cultural awareness pre-deployment training module.

2.PARTICIPATION

Representatives from Allied and Partner delegations and capitals as well as NATO civilian and military representatives withcultural awareness, public perception, training development and operational expertise are invited to attend the event.

3.COSTS FOR PARTICIPATION

The costs of participation must be borne by individual participants or nations. Nevertheless, the CzechRepublic and the NATO PASP Division will be able to cover the costs of travel and accommodation for some participants. These participants will be informed in a separate letter.

5.MEETING SCHEDULE

The seminar will start at 09:00 hrs in the morning on Thursday, 24 October 2013 and will end around 17:30 hrs in the afternoon of the same day. The programme for the seminar is attached. Updated version of the programme will be posted on the website of the Permanent Delegation of the CzechRepublic to NATO under the following link

8.TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS

Participants are requested to make their own travel arrangements including transportation from and to the airport, the hotel and the NATO Headquarters.

Please be advised that all visa requests and all procedures associated with the visa application are to be carried out by the participant.

9.ACCOMMODATION

Participants are asked to make their own hotel arrangements. A list of hotels in the area of NATO Headquarters is attached for your convenience.

A pre-booking has been made for invited guests. Details will be communicated directly to these participants.
