Committee/Agenda Title / Summary
New Directors / Private Schools and Service Plans will be the focus during this session.
Interagency / Lozano Smith Attorney, Marcy Gutierrez will present an overview of the Tuolumne CCS Court Case and an updated version of the proposed CCS State Template will be reviewed.
CDE / CDE Report by Kristin Wright, Director, CDE Special Education Division.
Due Process / The Office of Administrative Hearings Division, Presiding Judge Varma will present on recent trends and information.
Forms Committee / The Committee will discuss/review forms or sections of the IEP’s based on input and suggestions from the field.
Equity/Disproportionality / Significant Disproportionality updates will be shared by Shiyloh Duncan-Becerril, CDE Educational Administrator of the Assessment Evaluation and Support Unit.
Transition / The session will focus on the wonderful new work incentive programs and on-the-job training opportunities through the Department of Developmental Services. Also, the new WOIA regulations for LEA’s, Department of Rehabilitation and an update on the Blue Print and Competitive Integrated Employment.
Legislation / A Federal update and overview of bills will be provided as well as updates on both AB403 and the Legislative Sharing Day.
Finance / Updates on State and Federal fiscal matters will be discussed along with information regarding both the Special Education Funding Exhibits and the MOE Workgroup meeting with CDE.
Executive / Discussion of the Advisory Commission on Special Education meeting and the Department of Finance Stakeholders meetings will be discussed.
All Committees and Members / Members will be able to attend the first Department of Finance (DOF) Stakeholders meeting held at the CDE.
All Committees and Members / Members not attending the DOF Stakeholder meeting at the CDE will meet by the area of pending DOF regional meetings to discuss and plan for those meetings.
