Strangers (service or repair personnel) in your home. When you need repair work done in your home, chances are you are inviting total strangers into your home. This is an opportunity for the person to scan and see items of value that could be stolen. Never let someone you do not know to have access to roam through your home, always stay near, whenever possible.

WASP SPRAY better than mace or pepper spray. Wasp spray can shoot up to twenty feet away and is a lot more accurate, while with the pepper spray, an attacker would have to get too close to you and could overpower you. The wasp spray temporarily blinds an attacker until they get to the hospital for an antidote. Keep a can readily available, near your door and even in your bedroom. A can of wasp spray doesn't attract attention from people like a can of pepper spray. (Source: Richard T. CAR KEY FOB is a great alarm system. At night, put your car keys beside your bed. If you hear a noise outside or someone is trying to get into your house, Press the Panic Button on your car key fob. This will activate the car alarm and will continue to sound until you de-activate it or the car battery runs down. Chances are the intruder will not stick around. This technique can work the same way if you are walking to your car in a parking lot. This could save a life or a sexual abuse crime.

Always Call 911 Immediately. If you are not able to talk, law enforcement can locate you by the signal from your land-line phone or cell phone.
DO NOT HANG UP--STAY ON THE LINE!
