Abortion

God is Pro-Life
Let’s get God’s opinion on the abortion issue:
Gen 1:28a And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it:
God is Pro-Life and not Pro-Choice. God didn’t want married folk to be “pro-choice”, but to be “pro-life”…that is, to be pro giving life, not the taking of it!
2 Sam 11:5 And the woman conceived, and sent and told David, and said, I am with child.
What mother says “I am with fetus or, “I am with a clump of non-viable, non-living tissue”?! They say “I am pregnant with a little baby!” Pro-abortion or not! “I am with child”! That is their ‘child’! Noone says to a pregnant mom, “How’s that little fetus doing”… “Have you felt that clump of non-viable tissue kick yet?”
Basil the Great: “A woman who intentionally destroys a fetus is guilty of murder. And we do not even talk about the fine distinction as to its being completely formed or unformed.”
Where do you stand on the Abortion issue?...
When would an abortion be permissable? Only during the 1st trimester. Any time prior to passing through the ‘matrix’ (birth canal). If the mother’s life is in ‘danger’. If one has been ‘raped’ or had ‘incest’. If the fetus is found to be severely deformed.
Ps 51:5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.
Isa 49:1 Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name.
Me, me, me…who is this ‘me’? It is Job and David! It is themself…a real live person. It is not just a quaint figure of speech. God gives the unborn personage, identity, meaning, even a name.
It doesn’t say “Behold, the clump of tissue that eventually became this body standing in front of you, was shapen in iniquity”; nor does it say “The LORD hath called this non-viable mass of fetal tissue” from the womb.”
No one is fond of taking responsibility for his actions, but consider how much you'd have to hate free will to come up with a political platform that advocates killing unborn babies but not convicted murderers. -- P.J. O'Rourke
Think in your mind of what an ‘infant’ is…got it? Ok, now read the verse:
Job 3:16 Or as an hidden untimely birth I had not been; as infants which never saw light.
Job states that unborn babies are known as ‘infants’!
Thou shalt not kill; thou shalt not commit adultery; thou shalt not corrupt youth; thou shalt not commit fornication; thou shalt not steal; thou shalt not use soothsaying; thou shalt not practise sorcery; thou shalt not kill a child by abortion, neither shalt thou slay it when born; thou shalt not covet the goods of thy neighbour; -- The Didache, c. 100 AD
Does God ‘call to service’ clumps of tissue?!
Jer 1:5, Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations
Isa 49:1 Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name.
The LORD called Job and Jeremiah when each was a little unborn child in the womb. God doesn’t ‘call’ unborn collections of tissues and organs! He calls living souls!!!
Luke 1:15 For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb.
What can be ‘filled with the Holy Ghost’? A non-living mass of cells?! Only a person…only a living human soul!!! Definitely not an animal or a multicellular clump of tissue! John the Baptist was said to be filled with the Holy Ghost while still in his mother’s womb.
Just think it out: Being Pro-abortion is a dying breed: since those fully supporting it, in genereal will have few or no kids; whereas those fully against it will tend to have more kids; then their kids will hopefully follow the same values and have more kids than the pro-abortion offspring. Do the math. Within three generations, Christians can take over our nation simply with the sheer numbers of large families, say 8 children per Christian family.”
Ps 127:3 Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
All unborn babies are not the mothers’ property to do with as she pleases. The unborn child is the Lord’s possession. God’s covenant of life rejects abortion. His whole desire for us reproductively was to be fruitful; not selfish; not ‘pro-choice’.
The pre born little ones are His heritage too. They are His possession. Oh how our Creator must groan at each abortion performed.
Abortion is an abomination!
Prov 6:16-17 These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
Abortion is the greatest destroyer of peace because if a mother can kill her own child, what is left for me to kill you, and you to kill me? There is nothing between. Mother Theresa
Prov 31:8-9 Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction. Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy.
Ps 82:2-4 How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah. Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy. Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked.
