§  Trainer / James LaPierre
James is an Oracle Applications techno-functional consultant with over ten years of Oracle Applications specific experience based upon implementations, third party application integrations, and custom application development within the Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS).
His knowledge spans many of the Oracle EBS customer relationship management (CRM), enterprise resource planning (ERP), and supply chain management (SCM) modules along with non-module specific architectures including Oracle’s Trading Community Architecture (TCA).
James knows how to engage personnel at all levels to learn where process adjustments can be helpful or disruptive while ably communicating anticipated outcomes and building consensus around recommendations.
Management responsibilities are familiar to James as he has consulted independently and worked for small companies where assuming operational roles were necessary. Additionally, his duties have included contract bid proposals and project management.
Prior to his consulting career, James served four years in the United States Marine Corps and earned his master of business administration during his military service.

Project Experience
ThyssenKrupp
Sector: Industrial Goods, Industry: Diversified Machinery
July 2010 – Present
Business analyst and technical architect for CRM Foundation (JTF), General Ledger (GL), Human Resources (PER), and Payroll (PAY) participating in an integration effort to centralize U.S. operations on the Oracle EBS platform.
·  Functional lead responsible for completing design and development of a series interfaces that languished prior to my assumption of this role. These interfaces synchronize R12 and 11i Oracle EBS platforms for the following data:
o  Employees and related assignment, costing, and special information types (SITs).
o  Time and expense payroll data.
o  GL transactions.
o  Supporting configuration data for bargaining units, account segments, job titles, locations, and organizations.
·  Built responsibilities and forms personalizations to secure human resource data.
·  Developed logic to bulk load users, associate responsibilities, create CRM resources (personnel) and groups as well as assign groups and roles.
·  Streamlined requirements gathering process:
o  Presented documentation creation strategies.
o  Implemented “red text” templates that simplified the AIM methodology enabling business analysts and non-technical personnel to define requirements for technical teams:
§  Elaborated on template sections using real world explanations and examples.
§  Simplified document creation resulting in reduced discussion time between functional teams and technical teams.
·  Wrote design, technical, testing, and training presentations and documentation.
Transaction Network Services
Sector: Technology, Industry: Communication Equipment
February 2010 – July 2010
Business analyst and technical architect participating in an integration effort of a recently acquired company resulting in significant reductions in order processing and maintenance efforts while preserving core business approaches still valuable by the organization.
·  Worked with cross-functional teams to create new and refine existing processes in conjunction with the development of supporting business specific logic.
·  Developed logic to bulk load CRM resources (personnel).
·  Wrote design, technical, testing, training, and transition documentation.
ADT Security Services
Sector: Services, Industry: Security and Protection
June 2009 – November 2009
Business analyst and technical architect for the General Ledger (GL), Human Resources (PER), and Inventory (INV) Oracle EBS modules. Responsible for business process analysis, requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and cutover support during our engagement to bring a foreign entity under U.S. operations.
·  Developed GL conversion logic using the seeded open interface tables and import programs. The business required two years of conversion data to be summarized by account and period, and one year of details for the prior fiscal year. Data cleansing and client-specific validation required the development of custom logic.
·  Imported item onhand quantities using the seeded open interface and import programs. Data cleansing requirements meant that additional custom logic was needed. Previously developed logic was leveraged as a starting point to meet this need and reduce delivery time; modifications to this logic included making it reusable for expected near-future item onhand quantity conversions.
·  Developed logic to mimic the Approvals Management Engine (AME) Workbench functionality by allowing multiple rules to be tested in batches instead of one at a time. A core component of this business need was to derive approval limits based on AME scores.
·  Created DataLoad script for a mass credit card import as a part of the client’s move to American Express.
·  Wrote design, technical, training, and transition documentation.
ConMed Linvatec
Sector: Healthcare, Industry: Medical Appliances and Equipment
January 2009 – June 2009
Business analyst and technical architect for the Bills of Material (BOM), Engineering (ENG), Human Resources (PER), Install Base (CSI), Inventory (INV), Order Management (ONT), Payables (AP), Payroll (PAY), Purchasing (PO), Receivables (AR), Service (CS), and Work in Process (WIP) Oracle EBS modules. Responsible for business process analysis, requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and cutover support for an international implementation of the Oracle EBS.
·  Developed key reports for actual and standard manufacturing costs, bid tracking, BOMs, ECOs, item sterilization verification and release, payables, quality, receivables, salaries and shift differentials, and shop floor.
·  Programmed CAD drawing logic to explode indented BOMs using seeded APIs; component attributes dictated how plotter print jobs for external systems were routed.
·  Created logic that would allow “minor” routings to be rolled up into “major” routing groups to simplify shop floor routers and reduce page counts.
·  Coded materialized views and accompanying logic to consolidate data warehouse data.
Republican Party of Florida
Public Sector
October 2008 – December 2008
Analyst responsible for pre and post election research and support.

·  Development lead responsible for requirements gathering, technical designs, and patch analysis.
·  Developed tax application that integrated seamlessly with the Oracle EBS to enable non-corporate personnel to manage fee agreements with various municipalities and taxing authorities. Calculating revenues, payments, and adjustments along with generating monthly GL accruals and periodic payments for franchise fees (taxes) were financial requirements addressed by this application. Additional requirements included GL account management and the preservation of historical records by coding complex conditional logic allowing historical records to be updated without compromising audit requirements.

Responsible for requirements, gathering, design, documentation, and development of custom Oracle forms and reports for a custom supplier integration application.
·  Designed and developed supplier integration application that made possible the import of differing supplier defined file formats. Accommodating small suppliers without sophisticated business systems was a major objective of this approach along with taking daily snapshots of uploaded supplier item data to determine variances and highlight tolerances between organizations, locations, and sub-inventories for comparison against internal data. Validating components from suppliers via program based on seeded BOM explosion logic and project manufacturing data was a core requirement. Additional functionality included maintaining manager data for commodity codes, planner codes, and locations, determining unmatched material receipts and transfers, and showing supplier inventory transactions at various stages during their processing into Oracle Applications.
