1.6 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING

1.6.1 Store products in manufacturer's unopened packaging until ready for installation.

1.7 PROJECT CONDITIONS

1.7.1 Maintain environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, and ventilation) within limits recommended by manufacturer for optimum results. Do not install products under environmental conditions outside manufacturer's absolute limits.

1.8 WARRANTY

1.8.1 The manufacturer shall provide a 2-year limited warranty on parts and labor, including electrical.

1.8.2 The manufacturer shall provide a 1-year limited warranty on parts and labor, including electrical.

1.8.3 The manufacturer shall warrant that the equipment will perform in a manner satisfactory to the Owner for a period of 12 months after the date of installation. If the Owner is not satisfied with the performance of the equipment, the Owner may notify the manufacturer and the manufacturer shall remove the equipment and refund the equipment purchase price to the Owner.

2 PRODUCTS

2.1 MANUFACTURERS

2.2 COLD STORAGE DOORS

2.2.1 High Speed Roll-Up Cold Storage Doors: FasTrax FR Series as manufactured by Rite-Hite.

2.2.1.1 Design: Curtain retention wear resistant wind guides providing tension over the entire length of the side frame. Door shall have TRUE Auto Re-Feed, which automatically positions the curtain back into the side frame after an impact without manual intervention or resetting at the control box. Door shall not have limit switches operating within the side frames. Door shall have a soft bottom edge which yields in the horizontal plane when impacted. Door shall not have metal bottom bars, springs, pulleys or counterweights. Door shall not have coil cords, junction boxes or any other external electronics within the door opening or the door curtain.

2.2.1.2 Model: FasTrax FR (Vertical Lift).

2.2.1.3 Model: FasTrax FR (High Lift).

2.2.1.4 Model: FasTrax FR (Standard Lift).

2.2.1.7 Curtain Material: 1 inch (25 mm) thick insulated fabric panel (standard color: blue). Curtain shall have an R-4 insulating value. InsulMax as manufactured by Rite-Hite.

2.2.1.8 Side Frames: Powder coated extruded aluminum construction.

2.2.1.9 Speed: Minimum - 48 inches (1219 mm)/second minimum to 100 inches (2540 mm) per second. Maximum speed is determined by door size.

2.2.1.10 Drive System: Motor shall be 2 HP electric motor with direct drive gearbox. Variable frequency drive. Drive system shall consist of a drive gear, drive spheres and a composite edge material attached to the curtain. Door shall have a hand operated brake disconnect for emergency manual operation.

2.2.1.11 Door shall have manual opening using a chain hoist.

2.2.1.18.1 Electrical Requirement: Single phase, 120 VAC, 50/60HZ.

2.2.1.18.2 Electrical Requirement: Transformer matching controller voltage.

2.2.1.19 Controller: Mounted inside NEMA 4X UL listed control box with open push button and on/off switch. Controller shall be digital i-COMM variable frequency drive as manufactured by Rite-Hite Corp.

2.2.1.20 Door Activation: Door shall be activated by one of the following: Induction loop, motion sensor, electronic eye, push button control, radio control, pull cord or other methods. Refer to drawings.

2.2.1.21 Safety Equipment: Door controls shall be listed to applicable US and Canadian safety standards by Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL) 508. Door shall be CE compliant.

2.2.1.21.1 Door shall include two reversing thru-beam photo eyes mounted at 18 inches (457 mm) and 54 inches (1372 mm) to monitor the door opening, and reverse the curtain if obstructed.

2.2.1.21.2 Door shall have Virtual Vision light communication system to alert personnel to objects, equipment or personnel moving on the opposite side of the door opening.

2.2.1.21.3 Door shall have I-Zone area detection system, which detects pedestrians moving within an area of three feet on either side of the door opening and within the opening and reverses the downward direction if activated.

2.2.1.21.4 If power failure occurs, brake holds door in place and can be released manually.

2.2.1.22 Curtain Fans: Two curtain fans mounted for air coverage on warm side of curtain.

2.2.2 Bi-Parting Cold Storage Doors: Barrier Glider Iso-Tek Door Panel System as manufactured by Rite-Hite.

2.2.2.1 Design: Door shall include a thick, insulated nose to assure a tight seal at the leading edge. All seals shall be replaceable. No doors shall be accepted that do not have replaceable seals. Tubular header and support beams shall be heavy-gauge steel for long-term durability. Two steel trolleys shall travel on the round track via hourglass-shaped urethane rollers. Roller shape and tubular track shall allow the panels to rotate on track for enhanced panel impactability. No door shall be accepted that requires a heated panel defrost system. Panel retention system shall keep panels tight against the seals, yet allow panels to swing away from the wall and automatically reset. No doors shall be accepted without automatic reset after impact.

2.2.2.2 Temperature Range: -20 degrees to +120 degrees F (-29 degree to 49 degree C).

2.2.2.3 Model: 7100 Barrier Glider, Bi-Part, Flexible Panel.

2.2.2.12 Door Material: Door panels shall be 3 inches (76 mm) thick flexible panels, with insulating foam core and R-10 rating for enhanced impactability.

2.2.2.20 Door Activation: Door shall be activated by one of the following: Induction loop, motion sensor, electronic eye, push button control, radio control, pull cord or other methods. Refer to drawings.

2.2.3 Bi-Parting Rolling Cold Storage Doors: High Speed Iso-Tek Cold Storage Door System as manufactured by Rite-Hite.

2.2.3.1 Design: Door shall include a thick, insulated door panels. All seals shall be replaceable. No doors shall be accepted that do not have replaceable seals. 2.2.3.6 Size: 7 feet-3 inches wide by 18 feet high (2210 mm by 5486 mm) maximum. 6 feet wide by 8 feet high (1829 mm by 2438 mm) minimum. Refer to drawings.

2.2.3.7 Header/Trolley: Two piece, 3/16 inch (4.8 mm) aluminum extrusion with two integral trolley paths -- one for the lead panel, and one for the follower panel. Two trolleys are attached to each panel. Trolley assembly is hinged for enhanced panel impactability. Header is canted 3 degrees, center to both ends for positive sealing and reduced seal wear. Self-supporting on two floor-mounted beams constructed of 2 inches by 3 inches by 1/8 inch (51 mm by 76 mm by 3 mm) aluminum tubing.

2.2.3.8 Speed: Bi-Parting power doors shall have an opening speed of 84 inches (2134 mm) per second and a closing speed of 20 inches (508 mm) per second.

2.2.3.9 Speed: Single-slide power doors shall have an opening speed of 42 inches (1067 mm per second and a closing speed of 20 inches (508 mm) per second.

2.2.3.10 Door Material: Door panels shall be 3 inches (76 mm) thick flexible panels, with insulating foam core and R-10 rating for enhanced impactability. Panels shall be covered with 30 oz. gray polyurethane fabric.

2.2.3.10.1 Door panel shall have 4-pane, 14 inches by 32 inches (356 mm by 813 mm) vision panels.

2.2.3.11 Drive System: Synchronous 1-1/2 hp motor controlled by a pre-programmed AC inverter. Door commands are processed by a self-diagnostic Rite-Hite Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). Panels driven by a gearbox clutch belt drive system.
