Cycle 2 Weeks 10-12

2.OA.2 - I can mentally add and subtract within 20.

2.G.1 – I can recognize and draw shapes specified attributes, such as a given number of angles or a given number of equal faces. I can identify triangles, quadrilaterals, pentagons, hexagons, and cubes.

2.G.2 – I can partition a rectangle into rows and columns of same-sized squares and count to find the total number of them.

2.G.3 – I can partition circles and rectangles into two, three, or four equal shares, describe the shares using the words halves, thirds, half of, a third of, etc., and describe the whole as two halves, three thirds, four fourths. I can recognize that equal shares of identical wholes need not have the same shape.

(November 5- December 19)

Cycle 3 Week 13

2.OA.2 - I can mentally add and subtract within 20.

2.OA.3 – I can determine whether a group of up to 20 objects has an odd or even number of members by pairing the objects or counting them by 2s. I can write and equation to show that an even number is the sum of two equal addends.

2.OA.4 – I can use addition to find the sum of objects arranged in rectangular arrays with up to 5 columns. I can write an equation to show the total as a sum of equal addends.

Cycle 3 Week 14

2.OA.2 - I can mentally add and subtract within 20.

2.NBT.6- I can add up to four two-digit numbers using strategies based on place value and properties of operations.

2.NBT.7- I can add and subtract within 1000 using concrete models or drawings and strategies based on place value, properties of operations and/or the relationship between addition and subtraction. I can relate the strategy to a written method.

(January 5- February 13)

Cycle 4 Week 19

2.OA.2 - I can mentally add and subtract within 20.

2.MD.1- I can measure the length of an object with tools such as rulers, yardsticks, meter sticks and measuring tapes.

Cycle 4 Week 20

2.OA.2 - I can mentally add and subtract within 20.

2.MD.2- I can measure the length of an object twice, using length units of different lengths for the two measurements and describe how the two measurements relate to the size of the unit chosen.

Cycle 4 Week 21

2.OA.2 - I can mentally add and subtract within 20.

2.MD.4- I can measure to determine how much longer one object is than another, expressing the length difference in terms of a standard length unit.
