This report reflects the findings for SEABHS - Graham for the second quarter of the 2015-2016 programs.
Goals and Objectives

The following results represent data collected during the second quarter of fiscal year 2015-16. Percentages over 50% are shaded to aid in interpretation. Results from questions that allow respondents to mark “all that apply” may not add to 100% because each respondent may mark more than one answer. The percentages for those types of survey items represent the number of responses divided by the total number of responses for the particular item. Reported percentages in the narratives are rounded to the nearest whole number; please consult the relevant tables for more precise percentages.Percentages in tables may not add to 100% due to missing data for the survey item.
Results
2015-16 Street Survey Youth & Adult Alcohol and Marijuana Survey
Of the 106 who completed the 2015-16 Street Survey Youth & Adult Alcohol and Marijuana Survey, a small majority (55%) were female, 82% adult, and white, with 7 respondents saying they were a family member of a service member. Most youth (82%) and adults (91%) surveyed said that underage drinking was a problem in their community. When asked if they were aware of messages addressing the need for kids to talk to their parents about drugs and alcohol in our community 77% of youth and 55% of adults said they had been exposed to messages. Nearly a third of surveyed youth (33%) said there was a "slight risk" if youth took one or two drinks of alcohol nearly every day. Nearly all of the youth and adults surveyed said that it was at least "sort of easy" for youth to get alcohol in the community. Parties with friends without adults present was the top way that youth got alcohol for both the youth (89%) and adults surveyed (90%).
While a majority of youth (56%) said they were aware of messages about the harmful effects of marijuana, slightly less adults surveyed expressed awareness (48%). Of those who had been exposed to the messages, 73% of the youth surveyed said they would not change their behavior as a result. When asked how easy it would be for youth to obtain marijuana, 77% of youth said "very easy," while 48% of adults indicated "very easy." Youth did not appear to view occasional marijuana usage as very risky, though 71% said smoking it every day was a "great risk." Just over a third of adults (37%) said there was a "great risk" to youth for trying marijuana once or twice. When asked where youth get marijuana, 94% of the responses from youth were from a drug dealer, while 88% of adult responses were from a friend.

2015-16 Youth Leadership Survey - Pre-Test
Fifteen pre-test Youth Leadership surveys were completed in the second quarter. Of the 15 surveys, 57% were female, 86% were white and non-Latino or Hispanic. Post-test surveys will be administered upon completion of the program. Table 2 reports preliminary results for reference.
