FAITH FORMATION NEWS:
The First Communion pictures have been developed and are in the Religious Education office. Please stop by the office and pick up your child's pictures. Thanks to Holly Gruefe for being the photographer.

Youth Group Garage Sale Fund Raiser is slated for June 14, 2008. Please clean out your closets, garages and attics, etc. You can bring these items at any time and put them in or near the school basement.

Friday, May 30th is the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. This highly observed feast spawned the popular First Friday devotions in the life of the Church. Please consider attending the 12:07 p.m. Mass on that day.

Women of St. Mary
Ladies – Get your tickets for the “Women of St. Mary Annual Luncheon” on June 7th at Dornick Hills Country Club, 11:30 a.m. Tickets are $6.00 each and will be sold after Mass. You can also get tickets from Anne Beard (226-5469) or Maria Jimenez (465-1883).
Nominations for “Woman of the Year” will be accepted until May 31st. The criterion is continuous and faithful service to St. Mary’s Church. Nominationsmust be written and a reason for the nomination must be included. Those names with no reason for the nomination will not be considered. You may leave your sealed nomination in the box located in the vestibule, at the church office or at the next monthly meeting. Thank you.

RETREATS at ST. GREGORY’’S – SHAWNEE

Preliminary information is as follows:
July 11-13: Abbot Lawrence will present a retreat based on the “Themes of Pope Benedict’s First Two Encyclicals on Hope and Love”.
August 1-3: Father Charles will present a retreat based on “Telling the Truth: The Gospel as Tragedy, Comedy and Fairy Tale” based on the book written by Freidrich Buechner.
