RESEARCH EXPERIENCE
2003-2005 / Post-Doctoral Research Associate –Phu Khieo Wildlife Sanctuary, Thailand
Designed and conducted project to study diet of Phayre’s leaf monkeys, including establishment of a botanical database, nutritional analysis, and field observation. Studied ranging behavior and home range use of leaf monkeys via the use of GIS databases. Designed databases for project data entry. Oversaw data collection by field assistants and Thai rangers.
1999-2000 / Doctoral Dissertation – Yasuní National Park, Ecuador
Studied the cognitive mapping skills, ranging behavior, foraging decisions, fission-fusion patterns, and behavioral ecology of white-bellied spider monkeys (Ateles belzebuth belzebuth). Advised six research projects conducted by college students.
