Scoping Consultation for Sustainable Urban Extension Supplementary Planning Documents

Introduction

Knowsley Council is currently developing its emerging Local Plan: Core Strategy (further information can be found here Core Strategy includes the allocation of land currently within the Green Belt for a number of sites, including the following:

Knowsley Lane, Huyton
East of Halewood
South of Whiston & land South of M62

In preparation for releasing these sites, following the adoption of the Core Strategy, Knowsley Council will prepare guidance in the form of Supplementary Planning Documents (SPDs). The SPDs will investigate the transport, housing, employment and local economy requirements to develop out these sites.

We would be grateful for your response to the following questions which will support the development of the SPDs.

Surveys should be returned no later than12.00 noon on 14 November 2014.

Please note this consultation is not about the principle of removing these sites from the Green Belt. This is being dealt with through a separate consultation ().

The information you give will assist Knowsley Council for the purposes of preparing the Local Plan and it will be made available for inspection. In compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998 all information is kept safe and secure and will not be passed to third parties for commercial purposes.
