Review Quarterly Assessment Process (Dates, etc..) Scantrons to pass out

(reminder of process handed out last time, purpose/goal of quarterlies for accurate eval of student learning, dates for science Oct 27-29, scantrons due back Nov 8, to be run Nov 9. Only use accurate scantrons or blanks with right justified student id and correct course code. Score open ended using rubrics, remember diagrams, charts, bullets, all OK. Especially for special ed and ELL, follow only CAPT modifications, no MAS for science, so all take it, except very low checklist)

for tests/rubrics/data

for all documents (note date change on return)

TVAL And Data (Inquiry Scores!)

Strong suggestion made to principals to use inquiry scores, not content, although CMT scores in earth/physical to CAPT scores in strands I-III, and CMT score in Life to CAPT strand IV,V could be used. Inquiry scores from CMT 8th, or previous quarterly assessments. Note that out of town CMTs will be in schoolnet soon! Focus on inquiry key to growth.
