- MPR met w/ LAUSD attorneys re: final offer of 16 classrooms, 1 office, use of Agricultural Area across street.
- District remains steadfast in offer of above only
- NVMI proposed alternate request for additional space including small gym for military HQ and placement of tents on the campus property
- Also proposed additional classrooms based on NVMI needs
- Discussed that district believes school is maxed out in available classroom space because of student enrollment at Sun Valley campus
- Numbers of unavailable classrooms may include set-asides that NVMI proposes be re-designated not set-asides e.g. culinary arts, computer labs, parent center, counseling office, career and college center
- Sun Valley says they’re occupying 20 classrooms and remainder are set-asides
- NVMI proposed question whether set-asides could be reconsidered and whether Sun Valley’s projected enrollment is accurate
- There continues to be disagreement over the actual enrollments of both schools, so NVMI has asked for clarification on that issue
- District will respond by Wed 5/20. NMVI will reply when responses are received
- Current situation has impacted move plan as we are not yet sure which rooms will be occupied, thus limiting ability pack and designate delivery location.
- Temporary office space may be needed for interim between pack-up dates (5/29 for teachers and 6/19 for office)
- NVMI has met with Food Service personnel from SVHS and they are anxious to work with us on providing quality breakfast, lunch, and supper meals to students
- SVHS food service would also provide summer meals because they are a summer meal service provider
