School start time

Thank you so much to all our families who ensure their children are at school for 8.45 each day promptly. School opens each day at 8.45am and learning activities for all children begin at that time. However we ask that children do not arrive before 8.45 unless they are at Breakfast Club or have an allocated Y6 responsibility. The register is taken at 8.55am. Children who are even a few minutes late each day are missing the explanation and discussion of their lesson. Missing the start of lessons immediately puts children at a disadvantage to their classmates. School finishes at 3.15pm each day. If you are unexpectedly delayed please let us know by telephoning the school office your child will wait outside the school office until you arrive.

Macmillan coffee morning Friday 30th 9am to 10am

Next Friday September 30thSeptember we will be hosting a Macmillan coffee morning to support a charity close to many of our hearts. We would be very grateful for any of your home made goodies to sell and better still, for you to come and join us for a coffee and a cake. The children will be holding their own version of this event in their classrooms. If you could send a small number of biscuits/cakes (no nut based products please) and a small amount of money, it will help them take part in the event. Please try and find time to support this worthy charity which sadly touches so many of our lives.

Head Lice

Please check your child’s hair on a regular basis. Since returning to school we have had several reports of head lice in most classes. If you find head lice you must treat the whole family and then repeat the treatment 2 weeks later to be sure of iradicating any recently hatched lice.
