AIMS OF LESSON: by the end of the lesson students will be able to:

-use will in order to express predictions

-develop and practice the productive skills (writing, speaking) and the receptive skills (listening, reading)

-reinforce vocabulary, to promote discussion and to practice language in a particular context

-use “going to” to talk about future plans

-form questions/negative statements using present perfect and “going to” future

- looking at the posters and the words, the teacher elicits the target language by asking about the activities they plan to do and the places they plan to go.
- T writes the title on the blackboard and the model sentence to present the grammar structure used to talk about future plans
-T asks the Ss to solve exercise A, page 55 in the Activity books; a group of Ss solve the activities that have already been done and the other group the activities are planned to be done
- T gives Ss a handout and asks them to write down their answers about the plans they have
- T asks questions about the characters they see in the picture in the activity book – the Ss are familiarized with the recorded text by answering the questions related to it:
Who do you see in the picture? What do you think they are going to do? What is the interview going to be about?
- T plays the cassette and asks Ss to listen to it carefully following the script of the dialogue on page 63
- T tells the students that they are going to listen to the cassette again and this time they will have to answer a few questions they have in their Activity books.
- T asks Ss to listen to the tape once again and to check their answers and see if the information they have is correct or not
- T asks the Ss to read their solved task
- T asks Ss to look on the handouts they’ve received and, working in pairs, to make the interview about
their deskmate’s
