School Readiness Update

Classroom news: Journey is a new student in the am class and Graciela is a new student in the afternoon class. It is exciting making and meeting new friends! Several students were out this week with cold and flu bugs. Please keep your children home if they aren’t feeling well. They feel so much better when they are home and comfortable. The children are enjoying the dramatic play area. This week we turned it into a grocery store. It’s so much fun to see them play together. Their imaginations soar!

Measuring activity - We are measuring a horse that grows when it is in water. It has grown from two cubes to four cubes. We have fun measuring it and estimating its growth!

I enjoyed visiting with all of you during your child’s conference! Thanks for taking the time to come in. The children have grown and changed so much since the beginning of the year. Several parents still need to call me and schedule a conference for their child.

I hope to see many of you next Thursday night for the Holiday festival. It is in the Elem. Cafeteria from 5:30 – 7:30. Come and enjoy the evening with your children!

Reminders: Book orders are due Dec. 12th. I know this is short notice but I want to be sure you get them before winter break.

Conferences that were cancelled for Nov. 18 will be held tomorrow (Friday Dec. 2).. Please come at your same scheduled time. Several parents still need to call and reschedule missed conferences. Please do this as soon as possible.

The weather is getting colder. Be sure to dress your child appropriately. We have several more pick ups with each group so please have your child ready when the bus arrives.

I hope to see many of you next Thursday at the Holiday event (5:30-7:30).
