User process: /
  1. The school’s named Super User will log onto the website.
  2. The Super User is responsible for:
  • creating and managing User accounts of other staff who work for their provision;
  • ensuring staff are using the checker appropriately and are aware of their data handling obligations under data protection legislation; and
  • deleting accounts when members of staff leave or are suspended for the purposes of disciplinary action.
  1. The Super User will submit an eligibility number which the parent/carer has obtained from the government along with the parent/carer’s National Insurance number and the child’s Date of Birth.
  2. The Eligibility Checking Service (ECS) will retrieve data from the government’s ECS checker and provide confirmation of thechild’s eligibility status. The confirmation will be in either a negative or positive format.

SCHOOLPROVIDER CERTIFICATION

We certify:

  1. The information we are submitting to the Early Years Checker is to the best of our knowledge, accurate at the time of returning it to SCC.

  1. We are aware of our obligations under the Data Protection Act 1998 in relation to the processing of personal and sensitive personal data and confirm that the school have the following policies in place:

  1. We are aware of our obligations under the Data Protection Act 1998 in relation to the processing of personal and sensitive personal data but do not have the above policies in place.

Accordingly, we confirm we will abide by SCC’s Data Protection, Information Security and Acceptable Use policies in this respect and acknowledge receipt of them.

  1. In the event of a security incident (i.e. the inappropriate use and/or disclosure of individuals’ data obtained via the Early Years Checker) we will, within 24 hours of the working week notify the Suffolk Family Information Service by calling 0345 60 800 33.
  1. I confirm that I am legally authorised to enter into this Agreement of Use on behalf of the named School Provider.
