Since the weather is so bad at the moment, there won’t be a Second Hand Uniform sale in the playground this term but Paula (Philomena, Beatrice and James’ mum) is happy to let you rummage through the box any time, so if you want to have a little look at what’s available, please catch her in the playground or leave a message in the PTA tray in the office.

We have a few IOUs from the Christmas Fayre and sale of Colby bags. If you think this might be you, please talk to a member of FOCS or leave us a note (or the money) in the PTA tray in the office. Thank you.

The Colby bags are available any time. Please see Paula or Sarah if you wish to buy some. We will also have them on sale at all FOCS events … there really will be no escape for those that haven’t already bought one! Members of FOCS will be holding a series of lunch time craft workshops later in the term to present some ideas for the children to customise their bags – keep an eye on the newsletter for more details.

We will be holding a couple of ‘Do It Together’ days this term. If you are willing to help sand and paint the picnic benches in the field after school one day (when the weather is better), or help with DIY jobs in school, please let us know.

Film Club dates for this term are February 4th (Home) and March 10th (Minions).

After the success of our Lego Competition last year, we will be holding another Lego Competition on Friday 29th January. A letter was sent out to parents this week giving further details.

The EDP are giving away £100,000 in 2016 to community groups in East Anglia. If we collect 500 tokens from the EDP and North Norfolk News in a given month (one to collect each day), we can apply for money to help our project. We will be collecting tokens throughout February and, if we manage to collect 500, we will apply for funding for new play equipment for the field. Please ask parents, grandparents and friends to collect the tokens so we can reach our goal. A box will be placed outside Amber class for you to deposit your tokens. Thank you.

If you haven’t had a chance to sign up yet please consider joining easy fundraising.org.uk It donates a small amount to FOCS on purchases you make on-line (at no charge to you). It is particularly perfect for Amazon who don’t accept any other discounts/coupons etc. We’ve already raised £35 in the last couple of months. Lucy Sparrow is on the top spot at the moment…

We have lots of other events coming up, including Superhero/Inspirational People Day (April), our next Quiz ‘n’ Chips night (May) Mother’s Day and Easter events. It is going to be another busy term and we hope many of you will be able to help and support us. As always, if you have any ideas for raising or spending money, please let us know.
