Martin Luther King Oratory Contest –

(Seniors, UCO tuition waivers)

The qualifying round will be Nov. 14 and the final round on January 23. First prize is $1,000 UCO tuition waiver, second prize is $500 UCO tuition waiver, and third prize is $300 UCO tuition waiver. The theme this year will be “The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.” Applications are available at Deadline Nov. 5.

NATIONAL READY MIXED CONCRETE ASSOCIATION ESSAY CONTEST (ORMCA) –

(Students ages 16-18) – $1,000-$5000
