Get Busy Livin’ Scholarship 2017

Scholarship Overview:

The Dylan Meier Get Busy Livin' Foundation (www.getbusylivin.org) was established in 2011 to provide support for individuals or groups that embody the values that Dylan pursued: adventure, fitness, curiosity, generosity and a daily zest for life. Seven scholarships will be awarded to Crawford County high school senior students that have shown through their actions excellence in academics, school and community involvement, athletics and/or fine art achievements, and a general desire to create self character and leadership.

Volunteer Abroad Grant:

This year, in addition to receiving a GBL Scholarship, TWO recipients will be selected to be our GBL representatives to the Maya Highland region of Guatemala during the late summer of 2017. The individuals will participate in the Cross Cultural Solutions High School Volunteer Abroad Program (www.crossculturalsolutions.org). The GBL Foundation will provide a substantial grant (approximately $2,000) and will assist with the logistics for the trip. The student must have a U.S. passport and also provide some matching funds to support this life changing adventure. CCS has additional information to help the student raise matching funds.
