The Dean B. Powell Scholarship
Dean B. Powell established this scholarship to benefit students who have graduated from CareyHigh School and want to further their education. Dean grew up on a farm just outside of Carey. He was a member of the high school marching band and graduated from CareyHigh School in 1933. Dean was a farmer and farmed his land until his death in 1998. Dean and his wife Evelyn had no children of their own and always felt they would like to help students in furthering their education. Their dreams are being realized through this scholarship.
