1st Day: Arrival Keflavik - Reykjavik

Travelling by plane to the land of 1000 contrasts. Now you come to Reykjavik. Here, in the northernmost capital of the world population of about 115,000 people and approximately half of the population of Iceland!

2nd Day: Reykjavik - Reykjanes Peninsula and Blue Lagoon

During the city tour you will see the sculpture museum of the famous artist Asmundur Sveinsson, the Höfði House (site of the Summit between Reagan and Gorbachev, 1986) and the harbor. In the afternoon excursion to the peninsulas Alftanes and Reykjanes waiting for you. Bessastadir is the official residence of the Icelandic president. In the church, especially the stained glass windows are worth seeing. Then relax with a swim in the Blue Lagoon (entrance surcharge). 3rd Day: Reykjavik - Golden Circle

4th Day: Reykjavik - Leisure

Today you have the opportunity to explore other attractions in Reykjavik on your own, such as the City Hall, National Museum and the Hallgrimskirka, the landmark of the city. Relative to its size - Reykjavík counts with neighboring communities around 190,000 inhabitants - the city offers a rich array of exclusive shops and designer outlets.

5th Day: Reykjavik - South Coast (F)

On the excursion to the south coast you will see fishing villages and fertile agricultural areas. At the foot of the Eyjafjallajökull glacier of Seljalandsfoss is to be admired. Visit the ethnographic museum in Skogar before you reach the southernmost point of Iceland. Here you have the opportunity to admire the glacier tongue of Solheimajökull before the return journey.

6th Day: Reykjavik (F)

How about today with a trip to Borgarfjördur (supplement): On the way to Reykholt are the famous lava waterfalls Hraunfossar and Barnafossar. In Reykholt lived in the 13th Century the famous poet Snorri Sturlusson. He authored several writings on the history and literature. He wrote, among other things, the Heimskingla, a chronicle of the kings of Norway, and the Prose Edda. In Snorrastofa Reykholt learn more about this interesting man. Near Reykholt are the waterfalls Hraunfossar and Barnfossar. The city Borgarnes on Borgarfjord draws its hot water from the Deildartunguhver, 33 km away, the largest hot spring in the world and is the city of the hero Egill Skallagrimsson. The saga is about the life of the main character Egill Skallagrimsson, an Icelandic farmer, viking and skald, and his family, who in the 10th Century lived and settled in Iceland.

7th Day: Reykjavik - whale safari (F)

You go in the old harbor of Reykjavik aboard the ANDREA and drive into the Faxafloi Bay. The ship offers fantastic opportunities both from inside as observed from outside. Look out for humpback whales, minke whales, white-beaked dolphins and other marine life. In addition to whale watching it is quite worthwhile to admire local birdlife. Learn about puffins, gannets, Arctic sea swallows, and several species of gulls.

8th Day: Reykjavik - Return Home (F)

Today it is called early to say goodbye. When your flight back you can wave to the island of glaciers and volcanoes again!

1st Day: Arrival Luosto

Travelling by plane from Amsterdam to Rovaniemi. Transfer to the hotel in Luosto and possibility for a late dinner.

Luosto

Luosto - a 514m high Fell amid the almost untouched nature Finnish Lapland. Here on the edge of the Pyhä-Luosto National Park, the ski center is located with its idyllic log cabin village. The snow-covered region offers a long season and numerous activities in a relaxed atmosphere: From cross-country and alpine skiing on snow-shoeing and husky safaris to travel by reindeer or snowmobile you can go on everything for the heart of winter sports enthusiast.

Luosto Hotel:

Welcome to Hotel Luosto! The hotel is surrounded by nature and offers guests including several restaurants where you can taste both local specialties and international cuisine. A music pub, a nightclub and four bars provide entertainment. The rooms are spacious and nicely furnished and equipped with shower / wc, minibar, telephone, TV and Pay-TV, hairdryer and clothes drying cabinet. 3rd Day: Husky Adventure (optional)

4th Day: Snowshoeing (optional)

In this guided tour you will discover the best places to watch the fascinating northern lights. Especially in February and March, the chances are very good for this! Equipped with snowshoes and sticks it goes into the winter woods. Along the way you'll stop with hot drinks and your guide will tell exciting around the fabled aurora. Duration: about 2 hours service: snowshoes and poles, hot drinks, guide.

5th Day: Amethyst Mine Adventure (optional)

Quite near Luosto, in the National Park, is the famous Lampivaara Amethyst Mine. She is the only one in Europe still in operation gemstone mine. On a guided tour you will learn interesting facts about the desired gemstone, which is often used as a gemstone. 6th Day: Winter Sports

Our tip: Rovaniemi:

In Finland, one is convinced that Santa Claus (Joulupukki) lives in Rovaniemi at the foot of the mountain Korvatunumie, at least when he is not on the road. 1st Day: Arrival Sylt - Romo

Your journey begins with the largest North Frisian island - Sylt. With the Auto Train from Niebüll over the Hindenburgdamm can be reached in just 45 minutes Westerland / Sylt . 40km of fine sandy beach, crashing surf on the west side, still Wadden Sea in the east. Unspoilt dunes and green dikes. Blooming heather and majestic cliffs. Twelve villages - not like the other and each with its distinctive charm. 2nd Day: Romo - Jutland - Middelfart / Funen

About the 10km long stone causeway linking the mainland with Romo, come to Jutland. One of the absolute highlights is the lovely old town of Ribe. The winding alleys and streets with many half-timbered houses from the 16th and 17 Century give the city a special charm image. The focus is on Torvet the Romanesque cathedral, the only five-aisled church in Denmark. From the 50m high tower you can enjoy a wonderful panorama. About Kolding, where a stop at the castle Koldinghus is recommended that the drive continues to the island of Funen. In the outer north-west area, Middelfart offers both relaxation and a thriving cultural life. Stroll along the harbor front with its cozy cafes. From here you have a magnificent view of the Little Belt.

3rd Day: Fyn - Odense - Copenhagen - Malmö

In the fairy tale town of Odense Hans Christian Andersen was born. The eponymous district is comprised of romantic small houses. Most users feel the breeze from the time of the fairytale writer. In the city tour you will learn Odense and know their famous storyteller. The Hans Christian Andersen House forms the core of the Andersen Museum. Furniture, pictures, manuscripts and books of the poet give an insight into his world of fairy tales. About the Great Beltbrücke takes you to the island of Zealand and soon reach Copenhagen. In the city tour you will delight the magnificent buildings, beautiful squares and countless churches. Copenhagen is also known for the Tivoli, one of the oldest amusement parks in the world. Once again you cross a bridge, this time it's all about the Öresund to Malmö. Its location on the Oresund, the city has grown from a fishing village into a major trading center. Since the construction of the port facility in the 18th Century is one of Malmö's most important port towns in Scandinavia. Points of interest include Stortorget (Main Square) with the City Hall and the St. Peter's Church. The Malmo castle from the 16th Century is now the Capitol Museum.

4th Day: Malmo - Trelleborg - Ferry - Rügen - Rostock

In Trelleborg awaits the passage to Sassnitz. In the late afternoon you will reach the romantic island of Rügen. To bays and lagoon, steep slopes and flat beach alternate on the 571km long coastline. National parks and nature reserves make the island of Rügen to a unique natural reserve and a habitat for plants and animals. World famous are the 112m high chalk cliffs - not least by the same image of the romantic Caspar David Friedrich. Once you got to know beautiful islands in the North Sea and the Baltic, you enter again mainland. Rostock is the largest city in Western Pomerania and runs on both banks along the Warnow River, to the mouth of the river in the Baltic Sea. The town also includes the Warnemünde, a former fishing village, with its wide, white sand beach in early 19th Century attracted many visitors.

5th Day: Rostock - home

1st Day: Arrival Hirtshals - Ferry

The university city of Aalborg, which is known for the eponymous Aquavit, is on your way to the far north of Denmark. From Hirtshals awaits you in the evening the ferry to one of the comfortable, new ships of Fjord Line.

2nd Day: Ferry - Stavanger / surroundings - optional excursion Lysefjord

Enjoy the views of the Norwegian west coast, before the ship in the morning invests in Stavanger. Since the oil discoveries in the 1960s, here has a huge amount of changes: from a small town that lived mainly on fishing and fish processing, to Stavanger developed into a lively city with a multicultural atmosphere. Exhibitions around the theme of oil is found in the oil architecturally interesting museum. Also worth seeing are the lovingly restored old town with its white wooden houses and the cathedral, which is one of the most important medieval religious buildings in Norway. For lunch we recommend a boat trip (additional cost) to narrow Lysefjord, which is surrounded by towering mountains up to 1000m. Particularly striking here is the famous Pulpit Rock (= pulpit), which sits 600m vertically above the fjord.

3rd Day: Stavanger / surroundings - mountains / surroundings

The rugged coastline scenery on the way to Bergen will certainly like. Mountains, their goal for the day, is the second largest city in the country and the economic and cultural center of the West Coast. Admire the colorful wooden houses of the former Hanseatic Kontores in Bryggen, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the beautiful old town and the fish market at the harbor vague. It is worth taking a trip on the funicular railway to the mountain Flöyen, from here you have a great view of the city and the sea. Just outside the town, situated next to a lake, the Edvard Grieg Museum, with exhibitions about the life and works of the famous composer.

4th Day: Bergen / surroundings - Sognefjord - Geilo

Numerous scenic beauties lie on your today's stage: the spectacular hairpin bends of the old Stalheimstraße and the so-called King of the Fjords, the 200km long Sognefjord. On the beautiful side arms Naeröy and Aurlandfjord itself offers a boat ride along the steep mountain slopes. Also recommended is a trip on the famous Flam Railway. This train winds in steep curves up in an impressive mountain landscape with snow fields and mountain lakes (ship and train surcharge). A pass road then leads to an altitude of about 1100m and finally you reach the ski resort of Geilo am See Ustedalsfjorden.

5th Day: Geilo - Oslo - Ferry

At the stave churches of Torpo and Gol you come over in the morning. Later in the day you see the green Hallingdal, the big lake Tyrifjord and finally Oslo. The Norwegian capital is beautifully situated on the Oslo Fjord, surrounded by hills and dense forests. One can find zahreiche attractions such as the Royal Castle, the Vigeland Park with about 200 sculptures, the new ski jump at Holmenkollen or the new opera. Oslo is also known for its museums and the beautiful waterfront of Aker Brygge, with its restaurants and cafes. In the evening, the ship departs the Stena Line towards Denmark.
