How to scan a document

1.  Select the {Scanner} button on the Savin control panel.

2.  If prompt for user code enter your {User Code}.

3.  Place materials to be scanned in the document feeder or on the copy glass.

4.  Select the designation folder {Your Division Name}. The selected folder is highlighted, and the network share folder path also is displayed in the designation filed. (example, Admin 2nd Fl, Admin 5th Fl).

5.  To start scanning press the {Green Start} button.

6.  Check the {Scanned Files Status} indicator to the upper right. When the memory indicator reaches 100% the scanning has completed. You can also check the network shared folder for the appearance of your document.

7.  The File Naming Convention

After the document has been scanned, the name of the document is automatically converted and saved with a time and date stamp format. To identify the document you may wish to rename the file immediately after scanning.

To rename the document,

8.  Open Windows Explorer and click on drive I.

9.  Right-click the file and click rename from the menu that appears.

10. Type a new name with a PDF extension.
