ROLE PURPOSE:

We are seeking a dynamic team player to join Save the Children International in London as our Awards Management System Advisor. Award Management is a key function across Save the Children International and Save the Children Members, ensuring efficient use of funding and its co-ordination across our 55 country offices and 17 Save the Children Members.
The Award Management System Advisor will be a key part of the Award Management team in the International Programs department and will support the AMS Strategy Manager as the business and systems adviser for Save the Children’s Award Management System (AMS). AMS is an online system used globally by Save the Children to manage its awards operations in 5 regions and 17 Save the Children members who work with SCI.
This role will be responsible for:
· Leading a network of AMS champions, IT first line support staff and super users based globally, ensuring that key learning materials and support guidance is shared and used effectively.
· Ownership of the AMS training materials, ensuring they are updated as needed.
· Manage the development of system enhancements in close coordination with software developers and key end users.
· Coordinate with other Save the Children priority projects (coding, PRIME etc) to ensure seamless integration of processes, tools and systems in Save the Children.
· Provide leadership across the Save the Children family for ensuring data quality and integrity.
This is a highly collaborative role, working daily with stakeholders throughout Save the Children across the world, to facilitate a culture of data quality and system efficiency to help support our global ambition for children.
In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, you will be will be expected to work flexibly outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.
This position may require travel to Save the Children International offices to support centre, regional and country office staff.
SCOPE OF ROLE:
Over 100 countries with a staff complement in excess of 24,000 of which at least 15% considered users of the Award Management System.

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY :
System support
· Manage a network of IT first line support staff, AMS Champions and super users based globally, ensuring that materials (including manuals, FAQs etc.) are maintained and used effectively.
· Facilitate regular discussions amongst the AMS focal points across the Save the Children family to ensure consistency in approaches to the using of AMS, including maintaining data quality.
· Collaborate with Data Analyst to ensure reporting tools are used effectively
· Work with IT front line IT help desk to ensure they are adequately trained in the system to handle enquiries and assist end users.
· For more complex requests, provide advice and support to end users and AMS champions globally. Work with third line IT team/ software developers to find solutions to technical issues.
Learning
· Understand and analyse learning needs of AMS users across the organisation and identify proactive training approaches to meet these.
· Maintain Award Management System end user learning materials, training databases and e-learning course content (user guides, videos, webinars etc), ensure materials are fit for purpose and updated in line with any changes to AMS
· Deliver training to users of the AMS; training delivery may be required for centre (London), Regional or Country Office based staff and may be delivered via a mixture of face-to-face or web-based/remote technology. The role will be required to train all levels and disciplines of staff from Regional and Country Directors to award, programs and finance managers in the field.
Management
· Provide system reports and enquiries in accordance with business requirements
· Liaise with focal points and business leads of other priority projects (Coding, PRIME etc) and other systems (including finance, HR, emergencies etc.) to ensure seamless integration of data, tools and processes to achieve efficiencies across the organisation.
· Represent the AMS team in other projects to ensure AMS aspects are considered and tackled during design and implementation of other system improvement projects.
System enhancements
· Play an active role in gathering, analysing and designing of system improvement and change requests; provide recommendations to the AMS management group for future enhancements.
· Liaise with software developers to ensure fixes and enhancements meet the needs of the organisation and are aligned with award management processes
· Play a leading role in delivering AMS developments, including user testing and updates to learning materials and roll out, in accordance with agreed plans
Other duties as requested by line manager in relation to AMS and SCI’s award management processes.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Grant & Contract management
· Understanding of NGO grant management
· Ability to demonstrate practical know-how of award management at operational level
Capacity building
· Excellent skills in developing manuals, guidance and tools that are accessible and user-friendly.
· Knowledge of the design and delivery of face to face and online trainings
·
