TITLE: Data Quality Analyst – Award Management

GRADE: D / CONTRACT LENGTH: 6 months
CHILD SAFEGUARDING:
Level 1: the post holder will not have contact with children and/or young people, or access to personal data about children or young people, as part of their work; therefore a police check will not be mandatory for this post unless the content of the post changes, in which case the Child Safeguarding level should be reviewed.
ROLE PURPOSE:
The key focus of this role will be driving continual improvement of Data Quality within the Award Management System across Save the Children. The key objective of this role is to put the business in a position of clean, accurate and reliable data that can be used to deliver insight to the management of Awards across the movement.
SCOPE OF ROLE:
Reports to: Award Management System Strategy Manager with strong link to BI Architect

Role Dimensions:
Over 100 countries with a staff complement in excess of 24,000 of which at least 15% considered users of the Award Management System.
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY :
·  Proactively monitor Award Management data through regular and ad hoc analysis of reports and interaction with international office AMS Super users and Editors:
·  Run regular KPIs and Management reports and provide analysis and findings.
·  Drill down on the findings in more detailed analysis when required.
·  Identify patterns of noncompliant data (systemic or input errors) and bring these to the attention of the relevant Regional AM and/or AMS Strategy Manager.
·  Work with the international offices AMS Champions to ensure that AMS Editors and Approvers are correcting noncompliant data and ensuring accuracy, in the agreed timeline.
·  Proactively support continuous improvement through proposing system and user led mitigation actions and data quality cleaning methodologies. Support AMS Strategy manager in coordinating the implementation of agreed mitigation actions.
·  Support the maintenance of current AMS reports, and the testing of any new reports and/or modification of existing AMS reports. Feed-back testing findings to BI Architect.
·  Through data analysis, help identify business need for additional reporting or system functionality and bring to the attention of the AMS Strategy Manager

QUALIFICATIONS
·  BA or BSc with strong data analysis component. Data Science Graduate preferred.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Essential
·  Proven experience in Data Analysis, Data quality and or Support Analysis, or experience in Award / Grants Management in an International Non-Governmental Organization with a developed understanding of systems.
·  Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop productive relationships across business units
·  Good communication skills (written & oral English), including the ability to communicate and present both at a technical and non-technical level
·  Able to demonstrate instances of initiative that have delivered organizational benefits
·  Outstanding customer service orientation and follow-up skills
·  Strong analytical and problem solving skills
·  Ability to work independently without direct supervision
·  Ability to learn new web/collaborative systems and applications quickly
·  Ability to work well under pressure
Desirable
·  Experience and understanding of data modelling and database structures
·  Cultural awareness and experience of delivering global web solutions that cater for local needs (eg. area with poor bandwidth, multiple character sets, etc.)
·  Experience in working with offshore project team members
