At all events where items are sold the rental fees will increase according to the following: High School-$175, Middle School & Veterans School-$125, all others $75.00. There will be an additional fee of $50.00 for private business video filming. A rental fee will be charged for use of Audio-Visual equipment as well as a charge for the operator services.

It is understood that, in accordance with State Building Laws, there will be NO SMOKINGin the auditorium or elsewhere in the school buildings and that decorations will be fireproof. In arranging decorations; nails, scotch tape and other materials harmful to the finish of the building will not be used.

An announcement regarding the location of fire exits must be made at every event.

Any written program, playbill or similar document shall include a diagram of the location of all egress routes or areas of rescue assistance for use by persons with disabilities (527CMR Sect. 10.13 Board of Fire Prev. Reg.)

The_______agrees to furnish the adequate police protection, to care for parking, and to properly supervise the grounds and the building. A fireman is also required for events of over 200 people attending. The ______agrees to NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES to be on the premises or to be consumed in the buildings or on school grounds.

The kitchen and cafeteria may be used only if arrangements have been made with the Food Service Director as follows:

  1. Full facilities of the kitchen and cafeteria are available only if the cafeteria manager

or an assistant, designated by the Director, shall be present. She serves in a supervisory capacity only.

  1. The kitchen range may be used for preparing beverages. The cafeteria will be

available for light refreshment services.

*Please return a signed copy of this contract along with the rental fee within 5 days to acknowledge acceptance of terms of agreement.

I/we agree to abide by the School Committee Regulations covering the use of the school facilities. The renter agrees to hold the Saugus School Committee and the Town of Saugus including their agents and employees harmless and indemnify them from all loss, injury or damage while on rental premises.

SEND RENTAL FEE TO THE ATTENTION OF: Business Office, 23 Main St., Saugus, MA 01906. Liability is the responsibility of the renting party. Insurance coverage is required. The Saugus Public Schools requires a certificate of insurance prior to issuing the contract. If requested by the school department, groups will have to be approved by the Saugus Fire Department.
