REP COUNCIL MEETING / · Cindy attended the Alliance meeting on June 29. There was a presentation from MB Sports Web regarding Association websites. Bladenet link is the benefit to their website.
· OHF has new head checking rules. They are moving towards progressive penalties.
· USA Hockey announced no checking at Major PeeWee and under.
· OHMA referee rates were announced. Alliance will be matching the rates.
· Discussion regarding pre-game handshake. Associations were asked to provide feedback. SHA supports shaking hands prior to the game.
· 2 coaches (Rick Brown and Darren MacNaughton) have applied to attend the HP1 seminar. It is opening up to non-Alliance coaches at a higher cost. SHA is requesting feedback from coaches attending after the seminar.
· A Goaltender Mentor Clinic is being offered by the Alliance on 28 August. It is a one day clinic at a cost of $170. July 18 is the deadline to register. Information to be put on website to see what coaches are interested in attending. It was suggested that we have 1 house league coach, 1 A level coach and 1 MD level coach attend to share duties as mentor.
MOTION #110705-004
“That SHA send a maximum of 3 coaches to the Goaltender Mentor Clinic. Cost to be reimbursed upon the successful completion of the program.” (Walsh/Scarrow)

Atom Director
Rep Equipment
Tim Hortons Christmas Tournament Director
Skills Development
These vacancies will be posted on SHA website. Anna Addley is the Communications Director and the Miller’s have agreed to be Peewee Director.
· The $4 increase to referees will put us over budget but not significantly. It will be $4000 over last year based on same amount of games played last year. Discussion regarding house league referee cost increases. Most house league referees referee for both SHA and BRA.
