Biographical data
Summary:
I am an extremely hard-working 28-year-old teacher with a passion for math, science, teaching, and learning at large. I consistently challenge myself to become a more dedicated educator each day and to refine my lessons to fit my students’ various abilities and learning styles. I have an untraditional background (steeped in engineering), but switched careers five years ago to teach adolescents in a well-established inner-city school of NYC. The last two years, I worked at a private American school in El Salvador and I am well-versed in all math courses between grades 8 and 11. Iconstantly share my resources and lesson material with my colleaguesin order toincorporate their feedback into my teaching. I love to find new ways to engage children of all interest and performance levels and to continuously challenge their thinking. With a proven track record of success at every job (engineering or teaching), I believe that my excellent work ethic and adaptability will make me a great asset to your school.
